On April 20, an online press conference was held for tvN's new weekend drama "Secret Audit," featuring director Lee Soo-hyun along with actors Shin Hye-sun, Gong Myung, Kim Jae-wook and Hong Hwa-yeon.
Per TenAsia, the series focuses on the complex relationship between Joo In-ah (Shin Hye-sun), an audit director with a secretive past, and No Ki-joon (Gong Myung), an audit ace demoted to investigate workplace misconduct.
Discussing her choice to star in "Secret Audit" following her previous project "Lady Dua," Shin Hye-sun acknowledged a desire for a lighter tone. She said, "Honestly, my previous work was too dark," adding she wanted to "do a bright, light, and easy romantic comedy."
She expressed satisfaction with the timing of the project by saying, "Since we were able to start filming right away, it was a project I met at just the right time."
According to DAUM, Shin also described her character Joo In-ah as more than simply a "tough girl." She noted that while In-ah is "often called tough," she "also has a soft side."
She added insight into In-ah's personality by saying she "thinks she is speaking the truth to everyone," but "in the process... ends up pressuring those around her." Reflecting on her immersion in the role, she said, "I even wondered why people call me tough."
Gong Myung cited his trust in Shin Hye-sun as a major reason for joining the cast. He stated plainly that "80% of the reason I chose this character is actress Shin Hye-sun," believing they would generate "better synergy together."
Regarding his role as No Ki-joon, he described the character as having "masculine charm" and brought humor to his introduction by saying he could "show a different side of myself by switching between comedy and seriousness." He likened his character to a retriever with a playful side who "wants to pretend to be Teto."
"Secret Audit" is set to premiere on April 25 at 9:10 p.m. KST on tvN.
Separately, a report from HelloKpop noted that "The Art of Sarah," a Netflix thriller that premiered on February 13, 2026, follows the mysterious and glamorous life of Sara (Shin Hye Sun), a woman determined to become a "luxury item."
When Sara is found frozen to death in a high-end district, Violent Crimes Unit detective Moo-kyung (Lee Jun Hyuk) is assigned to the case. As he digs deeper, he uncovers Sara's fabricated life, her rise as CEO of a luxury brand, and a tangled web of deception.
With unexpected twists and shifting identities, the series promises to keep viewers hooked with its intricate mystery.
