South Korean star Jung So Min is currently signed under Blossom Entertainment, the home agency of Cha Tae Hyun, Park Bo Gum, Lim Ju Hwan, Jung Gun Joo, and more.

She rose to fame when she starred in the Korean adaptation of the series "Playful Kiss," alongside singer-actor Kim Hyun Joong. But did you know that after she appeared in the drama in 2010, Jung So Min put lots of effort into losing weight to prepare for her next projects? 

Surprisingly, Jung So Min lost 10kg before she returned to acting in 2012. Yes, you read that right. A little background on her rookie days, the female star was active in dancing way back in her school years. She had always been a fit and lean actress.

However, she gained weight for her role in "Playful Kiss" in 2010, where she shocked many with her 10kg weight loss in preparation for her roles in the drama "D-Day" and "My Father's Strange."

According to a source, the female star garnered attention for her diet method which is considered a healthy diet, she is said to get rid of her weight in only half a year. In an interview, Jung So Min shared that she grew different plants and fruits at home.

To maintain her health while losing weight, the "Big Man" actress enjoyed growing and eating fruits and vegetables. She made sure to eat fresh food, So Min also loves to eat Korean cuisine which she regularly eats at lunch. While for dinner, she only takes food that is rich in fiber.

When it comes to her workout, Jung So Min mostly does walking as part of her daily routine. The "Abyss" actress also revealed that she does yoga and pilates to keep her in shape. Meanwhile, to tone up her legs, she does stretching regularly and visits clinics for acupuncture treatment. 

And with all these methods, Jung So Min successfully brings back her slim and sexy body. She consistently follows these methods for one and a half years.

Jung So Min To Star in 'Alchemy of Souls' With Lee Jae Wook 

On the other hand, Jung So Min is making her small-screen return with a new fantasy-romance series "Alchemy of Souls" this June 18. She takes the character of Mu Deok, an elite warrior, whose soul is trapped in a physically weak body. This marks her first drama this year following "Monthly Magazine Home" in 2021.
