For the 52-year-old star, being a certified award-winning actress is not a walk in the park for her.

It was her passion and her love for acting that brought her where she is right now.

Before becoming Kdrama's beloved ajumma and captivating millions of viewers with her stellar acting, Lee Jung Eun had to work odd jobs.

In the same report, the actress used to work as a mart employee, a green juice salesperson, and as an acting teacher.

She then tried her luck in theater since she graduated from the Department of Theater at Hanyang University.

During her stint on stage, Lee Jung Eun earned 200,000 won a year.

Fortunately, the universe conspired and gave her what she wanted in life. She made her debut as an actress in the 2013 drama "The Queen's Classroom," playing one of the student's mother.

From then on, she played the same character for 30 years. It was the Oscar-winning film "Parasite" directed by Bong Joon Ho, where she was recognized internationally alongside the cast.

Now, she is headlining Kdramas and set to appear as the main cast in the medical series "Morning Comes to the Mental Ward" with Park Bo Young and Yeon Woo Jin.
