THIS ‘Broker’ Star Sees Bright Future in IU’s Acting Career
After working with IU for the first time in the movie "Broker," this actor reveals he sees the singer-actress amazing career.
In May, Hirokazu Koreeda's movie "Broker" made it to the 75th Cannes International Film Festival. Its lead stars Song Kang Ho, Kang Dong Won, IU, Lee Joo Young, and the Japanese director himself attended the prestigious event to represent the film.

The cast members then had their star-studded cinema premiere in South Korea last June 2, where some of the brightest actors and actresses, such as Kim Soo Hyun, Lee Min Ho, Lee Byung Hun, Rain, Kim Tae Ri, BTS V, and more, showed their support to the team.
Kang Dong Won was then invited for an interview, where he shared his experiences working on the movie. The interviewer asked what kind of vibe the filming site had.
The "Golden Slumber" star answered, "We had a fun vibe working on the film because we were in the countryside for our shooting, which made the atmosphere more fun because we were away from the busy life in the city."
He added that the fact they were in a peaceful area helped him concentrate more on internalizing his character.

As the interview went on, Kang Dong Won revealed that he sees great potential in IU's career in the acting field. He shared his experience of working with the singer-actress.

The actor stated, "I am confidently sure everybody knows already, but her (IU) acting is incredible. I can only see bright days ahead of her career as an actress."
Kang Dong Won added that the "Hotel Del Luna" actress can pull off any kind of character.

Meanwhile, in a separate interview, Kang Dong Won shared the story of how he ended up being friends with BTS V.

Originally, the "Broker" actor was close to Park Hyo Shin, but on the day they met, he was with BTS V. That was when he found out that V is from Geochang, which is also his hometown.
He added that the BTS member really wanted to meet him, and ever since their first encounter, the two have gotten close. V even came to the premiere night of his Dong Won's film "Broker" in Seoul to show his support.
