KBS Shares 'If You Wish Upon Me' First Video Teaser
'If You Wish Upon Me" (working title) is a healing series that follows the story of a young man Yoon Gyeo Re, who has been struggling in life and pushed to his limits due to unpredictable traumas.
He enters the hospice hospital and sees himself joining the hospital staff in granting the cancer patients last wishes in life.
Choi Sooyoung Becomes Ji Chang Wook's Hope in 'If You Wish Upon Me' Teaser
KBS unveiled the first "If You Wish Upon Me" drama video teaser on July 13. The series will meet the viewers starting on August 10, and before its premiere, Ji Chang Wook and SNSD's Sooyoung delivered a short yet deep message in the newly released clip.
Seo Yeon Joo Meets Yoon Gyeo Re
From Yoon Gyeo Re's point of view, the clip begins with him being badly beaten by someone and ends up sitting lonely and hurt in the corner of an empty room. He then meets the hospital nurse Seo Yeon Joo (played by Choi Sooyoung) and is lost in thought at her words when she asks him, "Have you ever been happy at least once in your life?"
Gyeo Re gave her a short and bitter reply, "No," implying that he has never experienced yet what happiness feels like. His difficult life briefly passed, and he almost had the same routine every day and night. On the other hand, Seo Yeon Joo became more curious about Yoon Gye Re's life.

Though it was a short conversation, Gye Re saw hope in how Seo Yeon Joo approached him. Yoon Gyeo Re's body covered by tattoos and an unheard voice leaves him hopeless in life. In the following clip, he is being chased and hit by someone again.
And as he continues to walk on a bumpy and lonely road, alone, he still wishes to live an average life just like everyone else. Furthermore, viewers are now anticipating how Yoon Gyeo Re will overcome his struggles in life and how Seo Yeon Joo will help him build a new beginning after he enters the hospice.
'If You Wish Upon Me' Will Not Be Available on Netflix
Meanwhile, according to a report, "If You Wish Upon Me" will no longer be released on Netflix. Instead, the OTT platform where the series will premiere is expected to be announced soon.
