Debuting in 2009 in a bit part for the film "Castaway on the Moon," he managed to land his first ever main role in the same year for the psychological horror movie "Short! Short! Short!" with Oh Dal Soo and Yoo Yeon Seok of "Hospital Playlist."

Interestingly, he scored his first achievement as an actor through the film "Beaten Black and Blue" and won the Actor of the Year category at the prestigious Busan International Film Festival.
