‘Eve’ Ends in an All-Time High Rating + Park Byung Eun Sacrificed Himself for Seo Ye Ji
Despite "Eve" failing to score a double-digit rating, the tvN drama, which stars Seo Ye Ji, Park Byung Eun, Yoo Sun, and Lee Sang Yeob, wrapped up the season on a high note. 'Eve' Viewership Rating
For "Eve's" finale, Nielsen Korea shared that the weekday drama garnered an average nationwide rating of 4.5 percent.
The sixteenth episode is the series' all-time high for the whole season.
'Eve' Episode 16 Recap: Han So Ra, Kim Jung Chul Tricked Kang Yoon Kyum
Despite the intense face-to-face at the mediation, Lee Ra El agrees to reconcile with LY Group's Chairman Kang Yoon Kyum with the promise of convincing Han So Ra, Han Pan Ro, and Kim Jung Chul to face their cases.
Lee Ra El also saw how the chairman is disappointed with his family's action and regrets every bit of their decision which ruined several families, including Lee Ra El's.
As the two spend a night at Kang Yoon Kyum's estate, he asks her about her greatest wish. For Lee Ra El, it was to live without fury and in peace.
However, their peaceful evening was ruined by Kim Jung Chul and Han So Ra. She tricked her husband into thinking their daughter, Da Bi, was missing and might be at their estate.
Of course, being the doting dad, he checked the whole area but realized it might be a trap.

Lo and behold, Kim Jung Chul managed to sneak into the area and attempted to kill Lee Ra El. However, he was the one who ended up dead after Kang Yoon Kyum was able to save Lee Ra El.
Feeling terrible about what he did, he called the Blue House Chief Seo Eun Pyung and confessed his sins; however, Mr. Seo, a former human rights lawyer, says that Kang Yoon Kyum could use self-defense as his alibi.
After attending to the police, the chairman and Seo Eun Pyung discovered that Lee Ra El was missing.
Kang Yoon Kyum Sacrifices Himself for Lee Ra El
"Eve" episode 16 featured an intense scene between the chairman and his wife, who was the one who kidnapped Lee Ra El.
Thankfully, Lee Ra El woke up and managed to distract Han So Ra from navigating the steering wheel.
After crashing into the side of the road, Han So Ra stabbed Lee Ra El, but she made Han So Ra feel that Kang Yoon Kyum never loved her, which sparked her anger.
In the end, Kang Yoon Kyum died after he purposely crashed the car into the cliff.
For the chairman, it will be the end of Lee Ra El's pain and revenge. She would be able to start a new life.
While Lee Ra El mourns the passing of Kang Yoon Kyum, Han Pan Ro was found dead in his mansion's basement. On the other hand, Han So Ra survived the crash but left deep marks on her face. Moreover, because of the tragedy, she loses herself and ends up in a psychiatric ward.
