Seo Ji Hye And Park Jung Ah Cast In "Noblewoman"

Park Jung Ah has been cast as a rich girl in the upcoming drama "Noblewoman." The singer and former leader of the girl group Jewelry will play a wealthy self-centered young woman who is aloof but capable of devotion. She is a girl who has always had everything money can buy. But can money buy friendship and love? The drama's storyline will play with the notions of wealth, power and friendship, focusing on the friendship between two girls who come from very different backgrounds.

Park Jung Ah first added acting credits to her resume in 2003 in the film "Madeleine." She then appeared in the comedies "Prosecutor Princess," "Smile Again" and "My One And Only." Her most recent role was playing Kang Mi Kyung in the popular weekend drama "My Daughter Seo Young."

Seo Ji Hye has been cast as Park Jung Ah's friend in the drama. She is the daughter of the family's maid. The two girls manage to overcome their differences and become good friends in high school, remaining friends when they are adults. But even though they become friends, money or the lack of it, will continue to subtly and not so subtly shape their relationship. But as fate would have it, a new influx of money into Seo Ji Hye's life will further redefine their friendship. When Seo Ji Hye marries a rich man she becomes even wealthier than her friend. And once their economic standing changes, the dynamics of the friendship must also change.

Seo Ji Hye's most recent drama role was Han Chae Won in the daily family drama "The Moon and The Stars For You." She won an Excellent Actress award for her work in that drama. Before that Seo Ji Hye appeared in the dramas "49 Days," the drama special "Snail Gosiwon" and the drama "King Suro: The Iron King." Her most recent film role was in "The Suicide Forecast" in 2011.

According to the producers of "Noblewoman," the most important casting decision was finding the perfect actresses to play the best friends. Everything else that happens in the drama revolves around their interactions.

"We worked very hard to find exactly the actresses who would fit each character well," said a representative of the 'Noblewoman' production company. "Seo Ji Hye and Park Jung Ah fit the characters perfectly and we're looking forward to their acting the parts."

The drama is due to air in February 2014.
