‘Pasta’ Cast Update 2022: What’s Next for Gong Hyo Jin, Lee Sun Kyun, More
Gong Hyo jin never fails to amaze viewers with her rom-com K-dramas with heart-fluttering moments. Among her first rom-com K-drama is the 2010 MBC series "Pasta" opposite Lee Sun Kyun.
Joining as fellow lead stars are Honey Lee and "My Lovely Samsoon" star Alex.
Helmed by "Bossam: Steal the Fate" director Kwon Seok Jang and penned by "Jealousy Incarnate," and "It's Okay That's Love" screenwriter Seo Sook Hyang, "Pasta" follows the story of a romance at work between a Master Chef Hyun Wook Choi, played by Lee Sun Kyun, and kitchen assistant Yoo Kyung Seo, plate by Gong Hyo Jin.
In the drama, Yoo Kyung Seo always dreamed of being one of Korea's top chefs and wants to become as popular as Seo Young Oh, portrayed by Honey Lee. As for Alex, he plays the role of Kim San, the mysterious customer who secretly admired Yoo Kyung Seo.
12 years after the rom-com series was aired, here are the current and upcoming projects of "Pasta" cast members!
Gong Hyo Jin
Besides "Pasta" Gong Hyo Jin has a ton of remarkable rom-com K-dramas under her belt; hence, the title "queen of romantic comedy," due to her successful portrayals in every rom-com K-dramas.
It includes "It's Okay, That's Love" with Jo In Sung, "Jealousy Incarnate" opposite Jo Jung Suk, and "When the Camellia Blooms" with Kang Ha Neul.
Interestingly, Gong Hyo Jin will return to the small screen after four years for "Ask the Stars" together with Lee Min Ho.

The award-winning actress will transform into Korean-American astronaut Eve Kim while Lee Min Ho will be OB-GYNE Gong Ryong, who joined the space expedition as a tourist.
Apart from her upcoming sci-fi rom-com series, Gong Hyo Jin is also in talks to headline the cast of Netflix's "Queen of the Scene" with Park Ha Sun.
Lee Sun Kyun
The 47-year-old Lee Sun Kyun has never slowed down in both series and movies.
After "Pasta," he had a slew of significant projects which includes the award-winning movie "Parasite," and K-dramas like "My Mister," "Diary of a Prosecutor," and the webtoon-based series "Dr. Brain."
This 2022, Lee Sun Kyun is set to star in an upcoming drama series "Law Money" with Moon Chae Won.
Honey Lee
The beauty queen turned actress recently became a wife and mom.
Honey Lee married her non-showbiz husband in December 2021 and gave birth to her first child on June 20.
In a previous interview with Vogue Korea, she revealed that she was in the early stages of her pregnancy while filming her comeback K-drama "One the Woman."
"I really wanted to faithfully fulfill my role as an actress and I also thought that through this strong prenatal education in a safe environment, I'd be able to give birth to a 'wonder woman' or 'wonder man,'" she said.
Honey Lee is currently on a hiatus due to her pregnancy but appeared in the recent sci-fi movie "Alien" with Kim Tae Ri, Ryu Jun Yeol, Kim Woo Bin, and more.
