Kwon Seok Jang, the director of the drama, guarantees that the drama will deliver a glimpse of the peaceful country life, perfect synergy among the actors and the lovely animal friends in the series: the three main points of the drama.

Since the drama is based in the countryside, there are many scenes where the production unit filmed with animals. This raises concerns as there are a lot of dramas that were suspended due to animal cruelty and abuse.

"Once Upon A Small Town" assured the viewers that they pushed through its production that they filmed with caution and concern for the animals.

A representative from the production unit stated, "Right off the bat, we already have expert veterinarians with us to ensure the animals' safety."

According to them, they set up a safe and conducive environment for the animals as well as the cast. Apart from the veterinarians, there was also a strict supervision of professional trainers.

In addition to that, the props and materials used in the filming were customized, and anything that could be harmful was excluded.
