‘Youth MT’ PD Reveals Diverse Personalities of ‘Love In The Moonlight,’ ‘Itaewon Class,’ More Stars
"Youth MT" director Kim Sung Yoon dishes on what to expect in the upcoming variety show and the chemistry between Park Seo Joon, Park Bo Gum, Ji Chang Wook, and the rest of the cast.
Definitely one of the highly anticipated programs this 2022, the variety show features a star-studded cast, including the actors from "Love In The Moonlight," "Itaewon Class," and "The Sound of Magic."
Divided into three teams, "Youth MT," also known as "Young Actors' Retreat," will showcase the dynamics between the cast members as they get reunited for one exciting show.
One team consists of Ji Chang Wook and the rest of the "The Sound of Magic," cast including Choi Sung Eun, Hwang In Yeop, Kim Bo Yoon, and Ji Hye Won.
Meanwhile, the second team features the "Itaewon Class" stars led by Park Seo Joon along with Ahn Bo Hyun, Kwon Nara, Ryu Kyung Soo, and Lee Joo Young.

Lastly, the third group showcases Park Bo Gum, Kim Yoo Jung, Chae Soo Bin, Jung Jinyoung, and Kwak Dong Yeon of "Love in the Moonlight.
'Youth MT' PD Reveals Reason For Casting 'Love In The Moonlight,' 'Itaewon Class,' 'The Sound of Magic' Stars
According to a news outlet, PD Kim Sung Yoon shared what made him choose the stars from these K-dramas and unite them into one variety show. He explained that the actors "were often too shy to appear on variety shows" especially during the promotion of their respective series.
Director Kim Sung Yoon is the genius behind these K-dramas who directed "Love In The Moonlight," "Itaewon Class," and "The Sound of Magic."
Since he knew everyone's personality, he believes that "it is a waste that the actors' individual charms and chemistry are not introduced to the public."
With this, he came up with an idea to create a show that would feature stars from each drama team.
Despite bringing them all together in a program was quite "challenging," PD Kim Sung Yoon believes that it will be "more interesting and fun for the viewers" to see them in one variety program where they can show their true personalities and "share their memories of the past and create new memories with new friends."
'Youth MT' PD Describes Personalities of the Three Teams
Teasing viewers with the synergy between the cast members, PD Kim Sung Yoon described "The 'Love in the Moonlight" as "cute and adorable."
Since most of them are the same age, Park Bo Gum's team exudes playfulness especially when they are all filming together.
Meanwhile, the "Itaewon Class" team showcased impressive teamwork as they were tasked to run a store in Itaewon.
Lastly, Ji Chang Wook's "The Sound of Magic" group harbors "heartwarming chemistry" showing the connection between the junior and senior actors.
Where to Watch 'Youth MT'?
The much-awaited variety show is scheduled to premiere on September 9.
With this "Youth MT" will be exclusively available to watch on the OTT streaming platform TVING. Unfortunately, the program will not be available on international streaming sites like Viki and Netflix.
