‘Narco-Saints’ Episode 1-3: Ha Jung Woo Risks Life To Take Down Hwang Jung Min

To take down the South Korean drug lord, a businessman works hand in hand with the National Intelligence Service (NIS). 

In the star-studded Netflix series "Narco-Saints," Ha Jung Woo, Hwang Jung Min, Park Hae Soo and more deliver a true-to-life story of how civilians and the NIS search high and low to bring down the culprit.

'Narco-Saints' Episode 1: Kang In Ju Sets Foot To Suriname

"Narco-Saints" episode 1 begins with Kang In Ju (Ha Jung Woo) traveling to the jungle of Suriname.

He is a man made stronger by time. Growing up, he had to parent his siblings as the head of the family after his parents died due to an accident.

With hard work and perseverance, he sent his siblings to great universities. Kang In Ju married a nice woman and they were blessed with amazing children.

He then decides to go to Suriname and gambles his money after his old friend asks him to be his business partner.

The two start their fish export business. As they begin to rise above the ashes, Kang In Ju and his friend get into trouble with a Chinese gang leader who demands 5,000 USD or they will be killed.

Thankfully, they survive. Just when things are starting to smoothen up, their fish export is seized after drugs were found in them. Soon after, Kang In Ju gets arrested by the police.

'Narco-Saints' Episode 2: An Alliance With NIS

In episode 2, Kang In Ju is imprisoned for drug dealing. He calls his wife back home and promises to fix things and return safely.

To his surprise, an agent named Choi Chang Ho (Park Hae Soo) who works with (NIS) visits him and is planning to help him prove his innocence.

It turns out that the pastor Kang In Ju talks to, Jeon Yo Hwan (Hwang Jung Min), is actually a drug lord who used him to control narcotic distribution in all parts of the world.

Kang In Ju asks Choi Chang Ho to seek justice for him and put Jeon Yo Hwan behind bars. Unfortunately, South Korea and Suriname don't have a treaty that binds the law, making it hard for them to arrest the drug lord.

Choi Chang Ho devises a plan to get Jeon Yo Hwan out of Suriname as Kang In Ju convinces him to sell drugs to the West where they will take him down, and finally prove his innocence.

When Kang In Ju is set free from prison, Choi Chang Ho picks him up and visits the leader of the Chinese gang in episode 1, Chen Jin (Chang Chen), to form an alliance.

'Narco-Saints' Episode 3: A Dance With the Devil

While Kang In Ju, Choi Chang Ho and Chen Jin's plans are set in motion, Jeon Yo Hwan continues to use the Bible in his drug deals.

In episode 3, Kang In Ju introduces Jeon Yo Hwan to Choi Chang Ho who pretends to be their contact person in South Korea.

They agreed to deliver cocaine in 30 days while Choi Chang Ho goes back to Brazil and Kang In Ju remains in Suriname.

Meanwhile, Kang In Ju moves into Jeon Yo Hwan's house and asks Chen Jin to kill the pastor and take his drug empire with him and his gang.

When Jeon Yo Hwan meets with his Columbian suppliers, he learns that the drugs were delivered on time but it didn't go smoothly as planned, raising his suspicions.
