Kim Soo Hyun’s Fan Meeting Reportedly the ‘Most Expensive’ Among Hallyu Stars For THIS Reason
After almost 8 years, Kim Soo Hyun returns to Thailand for a fan meeting.
The Hallyu star is well-loved not only by South Korean but also Thailanders for his amazing performance in "Moon Embracing the Sun," "Dream High 2," "My Love from the Star" and the smash hit K-drama "It's Okay to Not Be Okay."
As the health restriction and borders ease, the 34-year-old top star is set to meet his Thai fans on October 2 at Thunder Dome, Muang Thong Thani.
However, amid the excitement, Kim Soo Hyun's fan meeting made headlines after a fan spent whooping cash to see the actor.

According to various reports, Thai distribution company Lotus will oversee the circulation of tickets where instead of being sold, fans have to accumulate purchases from food courts and shops.
The catch here is that only the first 3,800 buyers who spend over 5,000 baht (around 133 USD) at Lotus stores will be able to attend Kim Soo Hyun's fan meeting.
Interestingly, the first 100 buyers will get to be in the front seat and see the Hallyu star up close. It also includes getting his signature and special merchandise from the event.
However, after the results came in, one fan ended up spending 180 million KRW or 125,905 USD for Kim Soo Hyun's fan meeting VIP tickets while the second top buyer had 151 million KRW or 105,624 USD.

With this, a report cited that a Thai media outlet dubbed Kim Soo Hyun's meet and greet as "the most expensive fan meeting among all Hallyu stars' fan meetings".
As for the netizens, the event gained mixed reaction with some saying that the fans need to buy gold and also meet the actor while the others say that as a fan the amount is pretty worth it.
It can be recalled that the top star and not to mention Hallyu's highest-paid actor visited Thailand in 2014.
According to an outlet, around 2,500 fans welcomed Kim Soo Hyun at Bangkok airport occupying three floors.
Dubbed as "2014 Kim Soo Hyun Asia Tour 1st Memories in Bangkok," a representative of the actor at the time said that they have "never had this much fans at the airport," showing an overwhelming reaction to the South Korean star's massive popularity in Thailand.
