Kang Mina To Play the Main Character in New Horror Series 'Convenience Store'
After starring in the fantasy-comedy "Cafe Minamdang," Kang Mina is slated to star is the upcoming horror K-drama "Convenience Store." According to a report on October 18, Kang Mina's agency Jellyfish Entertainment made a special announcement regarding the actress.
The idol-actress is confirmed to play the lead role of Soohyun in "Convenience Store," which is Seezn's original omnibus series "Midnight Horror: 6 Nights." In particular, the former gugudan member will display never-before-seen charisma since she started acting.
The soon-to-be released horror drama will showcase six different unique stories helmed by movie directors who are already veterans in creating and producing horror genre.
'Convenience Store' Set For Release This October
Through "Convenience Store," Kang Mina will work with director Lee Jung Haeng.
She is Soohyun, a part-timer at a convenience store, who is searching for a full-time job. She is someone who unfolds the story of the strange and mysterious events happening at the store where she works.
Meanwhile, musical actor Kim Ho Young is expected to join her in the project.

The series is about to premiere starting October 27 via Seezn and Genie TV. This drama marks Kang Mina's small-screen comeback after her successful performance in KBS' "Cafe Minamdang," which concluded last September.
Kang Mina's Previous K-Dramas
Kang Mina recently starred in the fantasy-romance drama "Cafe Minamdang," where she worked with Seo In Guk, Oh Yeon Seo, and Kwak Si Yang.
She also had the chance to share the frame with another idol-actress Lee Hyeri in the historical-romance drama "Moonshine." Mina had a special appearance in "My Roommate is a Gumiho" as well.
The celebrity once teamed up with CNBLUE member and actor Lee Jung Shin in the web series "Summer Guys."
Mina had her acting debut in the series "20th Century Boy and Girl" in 2017. The following year, Mina starred in two dramas, namely "Dokgo Rewind" and "Mama Fairy and the Woodcutter."
