According to Nielsen Korea, Kim Hye Soo's drama failed to continue its increasing viewership rating after garnering an average nationwide rating of 7.8 percent.
It is a significant dip from its previous episode after scoring a nationwide rating of 9.471 percent, which is also the drama's personal best.
However, it is safe to say that "Under the Queen's Umbrella" will bounce back as the series gained the public's attention through its interesting plot and cast lineup.

Now on its second week since broadcast, "Under the Queen's Umbrella" never fails to deliver surprising twists and turns featuring the riff of royalties inside the palace.
Kim Hye Soo, who plays Queen Im Hwa Ryung, is eager to protect her sons, whatever it takes.
However, the King's mother, Queen Dowager Cho, played by Kim Hae Sook, ensure that Queen Im Hwa Ryung will be deposed just like the former Queen.
The 16-part episode of K-drama airs every Saturday and Sunday. Interestingly, viewers get to watch the historical series via tvN while subtitles are available through Netflix.
'Under the Queen's Umbrella' Episode 5 Recap: The King's Order
The fifth episode continues with her Majesties, along with her counselors and cohort Prince Bo Gum personally witnessing the Crown Prince's failing health.
After coughing blood, the royal fell unconscious, which sparked great concern for the kingdom's future.
Due to Queen Im Hwa Ryung's decision to hide it from everyone, King Lee Ho ordered his wife to be detained. The same goes for the royal physician who treated the Crown Prince.
Unfortunately, with her status and being forbidden to see her son, Queen Im Hwa Ryung used her connections to get information about the Crown Prince's health status.

Royal Consort, Minister of War, and Chief State Counselor Plan to Dethrone the Crown Prince
One of the highlights in "Under the Queen's Umbrella" episode 5 is the Crown Prince's deposition.
Royal Consort Hwang made a deal with the Chief State Counselor to gear up with their plan, along with Queen Dowager Cho to dethrone the Crown Prince because of his health.
With this, the Chief State Counselor persuaded the Minister of War to join hands, and in return, her daughter would be the next crown princess.
Queen Im Hwa Ryung Meets Former Queen Yoon
In a secret place Queen Im Hwa Ryung summoned Queen Yoon, who was once in her shoes but was dethroned following her son, Crown Prince Taein's death.
During their conversation, the former queen revealed that Queen Dowager Cho personally revealed that she killed the Crown Prince but left Queen Yoon with a question asking her if she had the evidence to show that the death was planned.
With this, the battle is on between Queen Im Hwa Ryung and Queen Dowager Cho.
She barged in the protest of the councils asking the King to depose the Crown Prince which Queen Im Hwa Ryung objected to, raising that the young royal did disobey any rules.
Thankfully, the King agreed with her plan, postponing the selection of the new Crown Prince.
Unfortunately, Queen Im Hwa Ryung was hit with a devastating blow after the Crown prince passed away.
