Here are some of the K-Dramas that featured the beauty of first loves and how tragic they can be! Prepare your tissues and keep on reading!

'Youth of May'

Lee Do Hyun and Go Min Si's romance melodrama "Youth of May" depicted a very sorrowful story in which two young people realize their dreams during a chaotic time in their lives.

Their romantic journey begins with a meet-cute blind date and ends with the melancholic demise of Go Min Si's character. In spite of time, Lee Do Hyun's character still feels the loneliness of her absence while still seeking love elsewhere.

'Snowdrop'

Set in the early '90s in South Korea, BLACKPINK Jisoo and Jung Hae In's "Snowdrop" was an absolute controversy when it aired due to its polarizing themes of a South Korean woman falling in love with a North Korean soldier.

The two characters' romance was taken away as quickly as it began as the couple met their death early on in the story, leaving viewers with their tear-stained cheeks.

Their pain was doubled when Jung Hae In's character was shot in the arms of BLACKPINK Jisoo. During its conclusion, the fans mourned and cried their hearts out.

'Twenty Five, Twenty One'

Indeed one of the best releases in 2022, "Twenty Five, Twenty One," starring Kim Tae Ri and Nam Joo Hyuk has the viewers from all over the world on a chokehold!

It captivated the audience with its familiar vibes as it was set in the early 2000s. The story follows the romantic tryst of young adults who navigate their lives through unexpected hardships.

The drama also gave the viewers resonance as the characters fall deeply with one another but gradually stray apart due to distance. Like many first loves, Kim Tae Ri and Nam Joo Hyuk's love didn't last long as they took separate paths in the end.

'20th Century Girl'

The most recent release is Kim Yoo Jung and Byun Woo Seok's "20th Century Girl," a Netflix film that takes viewers on a nostalgic journey in the past while unfolding the beautiful stories of youth.

Despite the joyous and upbeat vibe of the first part of the film, "20th Century Girl" takes a much painful turn when Kim Yoo Jung's character-20 years later-learns about her first love's passing.
