Lee Sung Min Grateful to Work With Song Joong Ki in ‘Reborn Rich’

Song Joong Ki and Lee Sung Min showed their affection to each other as the "Reborn Rich" lead stars graced Elle Korea's latest issue.

In the upcoming revenge series, viewers will get to see the chemistry and tense confrontation between the duo's characters.

Ahead of the much-awaited release date, the top stars spoke about their working relationship and thoughts about their characters.

Song Joong Ki Accepted the Role in 'Reborn Rich' Because of THESE Two Factors

In an interview with Elle Korea, Song Joong Ki revealed what made him accept the offer to play the dual role in "Reborn Rich."

The top star says that he joined the series because of various factors. One includes screenwriter Kim Tae Hee who wrote "Designated Survivor: 60 Days," "Monstar" and Song Joong Ki's "Sungkyunkwan Scandal."

Interestingly, he also named Lee Sung Min as one of the reasons he said yes to the offer.

"The fact that senior Lee Sung Min joined us played a big role," he said, adding "There are so many actors my age who want to act with my seniors. I was one of them, and I was genuinely excited while acting together."

Moreover, the South Korean heartthrob shared that he discovered more about portraying various expressions and emotions while working with senior co-stars.

In the upcoming revenge drama series, Song Joong Ki took the role of Yoon Hyun Woo, Sunyang Group's loyal employee who has been working with them for more than a decade.

Unfortunately, he was murdered by his employer after he was framed with embezzlement.

Interestingly, he was reborn as Jin Do Joon, the youngest son of the chaebol who plans on taking over the whole conglomerate as his revenge.

Lee Sung Min Says He Wanted to Work With Song Joong Ki

While Song Joong Ki feels ecstatic to work with veteran actor Lee Sung Min, the same goes for the 53-year-old actor who says that he is grateful to work with "wonderful" male actors including Song Joong Ki.

"I really wanted to work with actor Song Joong Ki someday," he said, adding, "The fact that Song Joong Ki was appearing at the beginning of this work also played a big role."

Moreover, the veteran actor praised the top star for showing off "composure in his acting."

In the upcoming K-drama, Lee Sung Min took the role of Sunyang Group's chairman, Jin Yang Chul, and played Jin Do Joon's grandfather.

When and Where to Watch 'Reborn Rich'

Apart from Lee Sung Min and Song Joong Ki, "Hospital Playlist" actress Shin Hyun Bin joined as Prosecutor Seo Min Young.

In addition, viewers will also get to see Girls' Generation's Tiffany, portraying the role of Rachel and a reunion between "Vincenzo" stars Song Joong Ki and Jo Han Chul as the latter took the character of Jin Dong Ki.

"Reborn Rich" will air thrice a week every Friday, Saturday, and Sunday starting November 18.

The upcoming K-drama will be released on JTBC, ViuTV, Viki, and Netflix Korea.
