To start again your binge-watching time, here are the seven-period drama recommendations from "Mr. Queen" to "My Sassy Girl" that surely have happy endings.

1. 'Mr. Queen'

This smashing hit period drama needs to be on your watchlist. Apart from romance, there is a lot of humor from its lead characters that you should watch out. This depicts the journey of a modern man who is transported back in time to the Joseon era, where he inhabits the body of a queen (Shin Hye Sun) and gets involved with a secretive king (Kim Jung Hyun) who hides his intelligence and identity.

2. 'The King's Affection'

Starring Park Eun Bin and Rowoon, "The King's Affection" joined the list of best period K-dramas with happy endings. It is set in the backdrop of the Joseon Dynasty when twins were born and considered an ominous sign. Crown Princess Consort's daughter was sent away to spare her life. Years later, the twin son dies-and his sister must assume his identity and throne, all while hiding her true persona.

3. '100 Days My Prince'

This follows the story of a Joseon Prince, Lee Yul (Doh Kyungsoo), who loses his memory and goes missing. He ends up living as a commoner and works as a farmer. He then meets Hong Shim (Nam Ji Hyun), who is the oldest unmarried woman in the village at 28 years old. They are forced to marry because of an order the prince made.

4. 'Rookie Historian Goo Hae Ryung'

Set in the early 19th century. Goo Hae Ryung (Shin Se Kyung) works as a genius historian. Female historians are looked down upon by society at that time because of their gender. Yet it didn't stop Hae Ryung from fulfilling her duty. She then gets involved with Prince Lee Rim (Cha Eun Woo).

5. 'The Tale of Nokdu'

The story revolves around a man named Nok Du (Jang Dong Yoon), who disguises himself as a woman to live among a community of women to solve a mystery about his past. He gets entangled with the fierce and hot-tempered Dong Dong Joo (Kim So Hyun), who is under training to be a gisaeng while seeking revenge on the king.

6. 'Sungkyunkwan Scandal'

Starring some of the hottest stars today, Song Joong Ki, Park Min Young, Yoo Ah In, and Park Yoo Chun, this period drama will bring you fun until the finale. In order to pay her family's debt and support the medical fee of her ill brother, Kim Yoon Hee disguises herself as a man to do a series of jobs at a local bookstore.

For her to earn money in a short period of time, she takes the chance to become a substitute test-taker and enters the prestigious Sungkyunkwan. There she meets Lee Seon Joon, Ku Yong Ha, and Moon Jae Sin. 

7. 'My Sassy Girl'

This 2017 period drama tells the love story of a cold city scholar Gyeon Woo (Joo Won) who is dubbed as 'Joseon's national treasure' and the sassy princess Hye Myung (Oh Yeon Seo) in the Joseon Dynasty era who doesn't have a good reputation in public.

The princess often sneaks out of the palace in search of her beloved mother. During one of her adventures, she meets Gyeon Woo, and her fate starts to change.
