In most of the K-series you have watched, it is often said this phrase when a character receives great fortune, "You must have saved the country in your previous life." Mostly, those who believe in reincarnation think that good people who did great in their past life will be rewarded. 

And this has been one of the many plots in K-dramas in which lead characters travel back and forth between their past and present, has become a staple to the public and now the viewers enjoy watching.

From the ongoing JTBC show "Reborn Rich" to the high-rated 2016 series "Goblin," here are five Korean dramas about reincarnation that will make you travel back in time.

1. 'Reborn Rich'

Song Joong Ki finally returned to the screen with this trending K-drama. This introduces the story of Yoon Hyun Woo, a loyal and hard-working secretary to the Jin family, which runs the Soonyang Group business empire. Unexpectedly, he is betrayed and framed for embezzlement by the family. But he got reincarnated and ended up inside the body of the youngest son of the chaebol family -Jin Do Joon. He realizes what happened and plans his revenge against the family.

2. 'Again My Life'

Based on a web novel of the same name, this drama follows the revenge journey of Kim Hee Woo (Lee Joon Gi), who got murdered while pursuing the corruption of a powerful politician in Korea. However, he was given the chance to live again. Thanks to someone's help, he got reincarnated and meticulously plans his revenge against the people who pulled him down. 

3. 'Hotel Del Luna'

Lee Ji Eun's "Hotel Del Luna" where she played Jang Man Wol is also a must-watch series. This drama where she worked with Yeo Jin Goo is said to be one of the highest-rated K-series in cable television history. 

It depicts the story of a supernatural hotel that caters only to ghosts who have unfinished jobs in their lives. Furthermore, the hotel becomes a stopover before the ghosts move on to the afterlife and prepare for reincarnation.

Jang Man Wol, the owner of the hotel-has been stuck there for the past 1000 years due to her past sins.

4. 'Chicago Typewriter'

Starring Yoo Ah In, Im Soo Jung, and Go Kyung Pyo, this series tells the story of a famous writer Han Se Joo, who is in a slump struggling to write his next book. As he continues to struggle with writer's block, he meets a fan of his work, Jeon Seol, and Yoo Jin Oh, a mysterious ghostwriter.

As they continue to cross paths with each other, they start to realize that they all have connections in the past during the 1930s Japanese occupation of Korea.

5. 'Goblin'

One of the greatest series in 2016 is this masterpiece written by Kim Eun Sook. It depicts the story of Kim Shin (Gong Yoo), who is a decorated military general from the Goryeo era. After all the sacrifices he has done for the nation, he is betrayed and killed by the young king.

Years after his passing, he is cursed to become an immortal goblin as punishment for the kills he committed. The only way he could end the curse is to find the Goblin's bride. She's the only person who can see and remove the sword to end his immortality.
