Lee Jae Wook & Hwang Minhyun's War of Nerves In New Teaser

"Alchemy of Souls: Light and Shadow" unveils its newest drama teaser featuring Lee Jae Wook and Hwang Minhyun!

The tvN drama tells the stories of mages whose fates are altered due to the magic that shifts people's souls with one another.

In Part 1, which aired last summer, Lee Jae Wook and Jung So Min decorated the screen with their tragic romance.

Previously, the fans are given a glimpse of the characters' lives through their individual photo teasers. Days before Part 2's premiere, the series surprises fans with its heart-thumping teaser.

Set three years later, the new teaser begins with Jang Uk (Lee Jae Wook) who displays his grim nature and cold heart, saying that the power of the ice stone is beyond his control.

Jang Uk is the most powerful mage in the land who's born with the King's Star, and the product of a soul shifter's romantic pursuit. He is believed to be the chosen one to control the ice stone, and eliminate all soul shifters in Daeho.

However, Naksu (Go Yoon Jung) appears, shaking the feelings of both men who have shown their affection for her since the beginning.

The teaser ends with the words "The crime of living and existing when one should not," indicating the regrets of the main characters who have died and resurrected after the incident that took place three years ago.

Fans who have waited for the return of "Alchemy of Souls" couldn't wait for the drama's premiere. ICYMI, watch the teaser here.

'Alchemy of Souls Part 2' Receives Mixed Reactions Over Plot

After 10 consecutive weeks of Lee Jae Wook and Jung So Min's romance in "Alchemy of Souls," it's time for Naksu to go back to her rightful body.

With that said, Lee Jae Wook and Go Yoon Jung work together to headline "Alchemy of Souls: Light and Shadow" this December!

Since the first part ended with a heartache, the couple reunite in Part 1 with one not remembering anything about the other.

Hong Sisters, the writers of the series, chose to go with the lost memories trope, much to fans' distaste. The amnesia storyline is criticized for its cliche narrative, which is a letdown to the whole "Alchemy of Souls" franchise.

While some believe that it would make or break the story, many fans seemed to like the twist and were very much thrilled. Moreover, "Alchemy of Souls Part 2" will premiere on December 10 at 9:10 p.m. KST.
