In fact, there are numerous reasons to love "Alchemy of Souls." However, Part 1 ended with a lot of unanswered questions that left fans hanging.

As Part 2 is about to hit the screen, here are eight mysteries that need to be unlocked in "Alchemy of Souls: Light and Shadow."

1. Mu Deok's Saviors

After running wild in Part 1, Mu Deok (Jung So Min) throws her body into the lake to regain her powers. However, nothing happened to her petrifying body and two women rescued her.

Fans believe that it is the soul of Jin Bu Yeon (Mu Deok) who dominates a water deity in order to save Mu Deok. In Part 2, fans expect reasons who and what their intentions are.

In addition to that, Jin Bu Yeon is expected to reclaim her position as the first born of Jinyowon.

2. Naksu's Unrivaled Powers

Naksu (Go Yoon Jung) is a powerful assassin who has mastered incredible skills that threaten the villain of the series, Jin Mu (Jo Jae Yoon).

When she shifts souls with Mu Deok, she loses her powers and even energy as a shadow killer. In the teasers released prior to the premiere of Part 2, Naksu returns to her original body but fans raise questions whether she has regained her skills, too.

Because it's prompted that Naksu has forgotten everything including Jang Uk (Lee Jae Wook), fans theorize that Naksu has gone through a rewind, erasing her memories as Mu Deok as she regains her powers.

3. Naksu Shifts Back To Her Original State

In the teasers published, Naksu has returned to her original body. Many fans couldn't wait for answers especially when her body was seen burned in front of a crowd in Part 1.

Meanwhile, some fans think that Jin Mu didn't really burn her body as he planned to take her back as his right hand man.

4. Seo Yul's Poisoned Blood

In Part 1, So Yi (Seo Hye Won) transfers her blood into Seo Yul (Hwang Minhyun) to save him from death despite knowing that her blood is contaminated by a blood worm.

Due to the parasite, Seo Yul is expected to die as he experiences unbearable pain from the get go. Fans predict that the blood worm has stayed inside Seo Yul's body for three years and that it gradually changed him into another person.

5. Jin Cho Yeon's Revenge

As she witnessed Mu Deok kill her own father on the day of her wedding, Jin Cho Yeon (Oh My Girl) is now enveloped with hatred and revenge.

Through the teaser, fans believe that she is now a woman ready to avenge her bloodline. Her sweetness and nurturing personality have been long gone, and many viewers are excited to see her wield a sword in Part 2.

6. Jang Uk's Gate of Energy

Like a phoenix rising from the ashes, Jang Uk comes back alive from the dead. Fans believe that the mage born with the King's Star has become more powerful and skilled.

Other avid viewers theorize that Jang Uk had gotten new powers that make him the most formidable mage in Daeho.

7. Crown Prince Go Won's Inner Feelings

Crown Prince Go Won (Shin Seung Ho) gained love in the first half of Part 1. However, he polarizes the viewers when he expresses anger towards Jang Uk, who's the rightful heir to the throne.

While he's being manipulated by Jin Mu, fans refuse to believe that he's actually being controlled by his adviser. Currently, viewers hope that Go Won is still on the right side as they can't wait to see more of his bromance with Jang Uk.
