Song Hye Kyo Reveals Honest Thoughts On 'The Glory'

It just keeps getting better! Song Hye Kyo is full of surprises as her comeback drama "The Glory" has been green-lit for a new season!

"The Glory" depicts the story of a homeroom teacher who plots revenge against her students' parents after she suffered from their violent bullying in the past.

In the series, Song Hye Kyo portrays Moon Dong Eun, a grudge-holding teacher while Lee Do Hyun plays male lead Joo Yeo Jun.

Song Hye Kyo boasts a long-list of impressive works but she chose "The Glory" because she wanted to challenge herself with an anti-heroine acting role.

"I had always wanted to play a role like this," Song Hye Kyo admitted. "That's why I was over the moon when I finally met Moon Dong Eun."

As for her preparations, Song Hye Kyo praised writer Kim Eun Sook for her vivid and verbose story. The actress said, "If I did this new role well, then I'd be the happiest. I want to give Kim Eun Sook's character justice."

Viewers can't wait to see how Moon Dong Eun avenges herself from her bullies, and how she will execute her plans as a teacher.

Song Hye Kyo's 'The Glory' To Release Part 2 in Summer 2023

Ahead of its anticipated premiere, Director Ahn Gil Ho lets fans in on a secret!

He revealed that "The Glory" will decorate the small screen from 2022 to 2023; the work would be divided into parts which will air in December and March sequentially.

"It's a revenge story about a woman who has planned to get back at her bullies for years," Kim Eun Sook said. "It's only reasonable that Moon Dong Eun's story will be longer to share her life before, during and after she suffered from the school violence."

Both parts of the Netflix series will contain eight episodes with more than 60 minutes of running time.
