If there were series lauded by viewers for their overall flow from beginning to end, there are also K-dramas released this 2022 that disappointed many with their unsatisfying finales.

Listed below are the three works of art that hyped the fans this year but sadly did not maintain the expectations of many until the last episodes.

'Twenty Five, Twenty One'

Everyone was excited to watch the talented ensemble of tvN's coming-of-age drama "Twenty Five, Twenty One." Starring K-heartthrob Nam Joo Hyuk and Kim Tae Ri, this show immediately became the viewers' favorite during its first half. It even scored an average viewership rating of 11.6 percent according to Nielsen Korea.

Unfortunately, many did not like how it concluded. It was compared to the famous series "Reply 1988," audience tried to guess who would end up marrying Na Hee Do (Kim Tae Ri), and as the story progresses, it attracted a huge number of viewers as they anticipated seeing whether the complicated romance of the lead characters would deliver a satisfying ending.

However, as Baek Yi Jin (Nam Joo Hyuk) didn't turn out as Na Hee Do's husband, viewers were disappointed with the finale, making it a good drama with a bad ending.

'One Dollar Lawyer'

Having big stars in the drama doesn't always guarantee that it will be a hit. SBS legal comedy series "One Dollar Lawyer," starring award-winning actor Namgoong Min received mixed reactions during its run.

It concluded with an average viewership rating of 15.2 percent. However, the series became a hot topic as it was caught up in controversies as was frequently canceled and shortened to a 12-episode season. Based on the previous reports, the sudden change of decision was because of the discord between the writer and the production company.

The changes affected the flow of the story. In episode 12, Chun Ji Hoon (Namgoong Min) succeeded in punishing his opponent, Choi Ki Seok (Joo Seok Tae), but the story developed too fast at the end. Viewers are demanding a new season since they were not satisfied with the finale.

'Big Mouth'

Lee Jong Suk's drama comeback also made a buzz this year. "Big Mouth" is said to be the only drama under MBC that recorded a viewership rating of 13.7 percent, which made it a new hit series.

But many were disappointed with its rushed plot and the sudden death of Go Mi Ho (SNSD YoonA) in the last episode, which also left viewers in shock. In addition, others also found it confusing when Park Chang Ho (Lee Jong Suk) took revenge against his opponents by killing them rather than bringing them to justice.
