Park Hyung Sik To Star in Historical K-Drama 'Youth, Climb the Barrier'
Park Hyung Sik confirmed to his fans that he is about to make his acting return in February next year!
Based on a news release on December 27, the actor will headline the historical-romance series "Youth, Climb the Barrier" (working title). It follows the story of a crown prince who is under a mysterious curse, and a genius woman identified as the mastermind of the family murder overnight.
Park Hyung Sik takes the role of Lee Hwan, a lonely crown prince with a peculiar curse secret. With a feisty and rude personality, he hides deep wounds under his cold appearance.
Many are already looking forward to his new character since it will be different from his previous roles in "Happiness," "Soundtrack #1," and "Strong Woman Do Bong Soon."

Joining him in his first drama in 2023 is breakout star Jeon So Nee, who showed delicate acting in her past dramas "Encounter," "When My Love Blooms," and "Parasyte: The Grey." She will immerse herself in the character of Min Jae Yi, a smart girl who pursues the truth under the false charge of murder of relatives.
She became a person who chased after being stigmatized for killing her family.
What To Know More About 'Youth, Climb the Barrier'
Park Hyung Sik and Jeon So Nee will work for the first time together through the historical K-drama. They are set to fascinate viewers with their unique characters, and plan to transform themselves into Joseon's young men and women who seek the truth behind the curse happening in their society.
While the two are expected to transform, curiosity is also focused on the chemistry of the two stars, who will meet as passionate youth trying to turn their lives around.

"Youth, Climb the Barrier" will premiere on February 6, 2023 on tvN. It will occupy the Monday and Tuesday slots every 8:50 p.m. (KST).
