‘Island’ Episode 2: Lee Da Hee Offers Kim Nam Gil To Work For Her

Since she left Seoul for Jeju, Won Mi Ho began to encounter lust demons and other monsters. Thankfully, Van always saves her, which made Mi Ho offer alliance in "Island" episode 2. 

'Island' Episode 2: Van Keeps Saving Won Mi Ho Against Lust Demons

After she got betrayed by Secretary Kang, Won Mi Ho (Lee Da Hee) confronted him and decided to end their ties. 

Her dilemma began as Mr. Kang turned into a demon, and tried to choke her. Fortunately, Van (Kim Nam Gil) made his unexpected entrance. In the blink of an eye, he was able to slice Mr. Kang's arm and displayed his impressive swordsmanship that slashed the demon to pieces. 

Van disappeared before Butler Jang (Oh Gwang Rok) arrived. Thoroughly spooked by the encounter and frustrated that no one believes her, Won Mi Ho booked straight to the airport. Unfortunately, danger occurred again as a security officer-turned-demon sparked another breathless chase.

Once again, a familiar figure came-and saved Mi Ho, who looked unimpressed by his action. The demon plunged its claws right into Van's abdomen, but it did not work on him and successfully killed the said monster.

Won Mi Ho Offers Van To Work For Her

After everything was settled, Van explained to Mi Ho that the creatures chasing her were lust demons-embodiments of evil that usurp human forms to leech off the land. Won Mi Ho used the opportunity of meeting Van again to offer work for her.

Van was hesitant at first but ended up joining forces with her. Mi Ho made an employment contract and offered a good salary. However, Won Mi Ho felt confused as Van doesn't have a family name, ID, or anything to prove his identity. After further negotiation, Van signed the contract the next morning, which shocked Won Mi Ho.

Van reminisced about his childhood journey when he was taken into a monastery as the only survivor of a lust demon attack. The head monk created immortal demon slayers to defeat the lust demons. In the past, only two boys survived the horrific ordeal, namely Van and Goong Tan (Sung Joon). 

Won Jung freed them from the underground cell, but Van's demon side appeared, which made him bite Won Jung's arm. But he immediately granted her free medical treatment to heal her wounds. 

After long years, the trio reunited. It was also shown that Won Mi Ho is the only savior who can prevent the world's destruction. 

Priest John Starts Adventurous Journey With Won Mi Ho

Meanwhile, young and modern priest Yo Han also called John (Cha Eun Woo) amused many with his talent in exorcism. He was brought to Jeju by Butler Jang to protect the savior.
