‘Reborn Rich’ Cast Update: Will Song Joong Ki Return With Season 2?
JTBC definitely ended 2022 with a bang after Song Joong Ki returns with an explosive K-drama "Reborn Rich."
Based on the webtoon "The Youngest Son of a Conglomerate," the suspense drama series is among the most anticipated K-dramas of 2022.
It follows the story of a revenge-driven employee named Yoon Hyun Woo who faced his death after being accused of embezzlement and ended up being killed by a chaebol family.
Interestingly, he was reborn as a family member of Soonyang Group, the top-tier company whom he had been serving for years.
Apart from being their family, he is also the founder's youngest grandson who is set to shake things up n the succession plan.
From its thrilling plot, "Reborn Rich" also featured a spectacular cast lineup starting with the drama's lead stars.
From Song Joong Ki, the Hallyu star worked alongside Shin Hyun Bin and Lee Sung Min, playing the role of prosecutor Seo Min Young and Soonyang's founder Jin yang Chul.
'Reborn Rich' Ratings
Released on November 18 with 16 episodes for the entire run, "Reborn Rich" ratings immediately soared to double digits after airing its third episode.
From its promising viewership of 6.058 percent for the show's pilot episode, the viewership climbed to 10.826 percent for its nationwide average.
From then on, the JTBC series continue to score not just the hype but also the ratings for its drama.
Interestingly, after 16 episodes, "Reborn Rich" ends with a soaring rating.

According to Neilsen Korea, the show's finale episode wrapped up the season with a record-breaking figure of 26.948 percent.
The said percentage is the JTBC series' highest rating and was hailed as the second highest-rated drama in cable tv history even surpassing the success of the makjang series "SKY Castle."
Will There Be 'Reborn Rich' Season 2?
After the massive success of Song Joong Ki's drama, viewers are looking forward for JTBC releasing a new sequel.
With this, viewers believe that there are still parts that are yet to be solved.
However, as of this writing and weeks after the revenge drama has ended, creators and drama officials weren't able to provide any hints or updates on "Reborn Rich" Season 2.
As for the possible cast members, if ever the show will have its second season, it is safe to say that it will be a mix of old and familiar faces.
Just like other shows with green-lit sequels, it showcased new characters whole some cast members returned for the same role.
As for Song Joong Ki, he will star in multiple movies in 2023. It includes "Hwaran," "Ri Ko Wan" and the much-awaited "Bogotá: City of the Lost."
The same goes for Lee Sung Min who perfectly portrayed the role of Jin Yang Chul.
After "Reborn Rich" he will also appear in the thriller drama "A Very Lucky Day" with Yoo Yeon Seok and will be reunited with "Juvenile Justice" co-star Lee Jung Eun.
Lastly, Shin Hyun Bin is in talks to land a lead role in "Say You Love Me" with Jung Woo Sung.
