Jang Geun Suk To Transform Into Detective In New Action Drama

The wait is over as Jang Geun Suk finally makes his drama comeback with Coupang Play's long anticipated series "Bait"!

On January 5, Coupang Play raises excitement as the broadcast network unveils its drama poster featuring Jang Geun Suk in his never before seen acting role.

Jang Geun Suk looks so different from his early 2010s pretty boy look. Instead, the actor rocks the rugged appearance as his eyes pool with tears, showcasing his eagerness to take down the bad guys.

"Bait" is an action thriller drama that centers on the secrets and untold truths behind a murder case that took place in the past through the series of crimes that happen in the present.

In the series, Jang Geun Suk plays the role of Koo Do Han, a lawyer-turned-detective who chases the truth without fail. Heo Sung Tae portrays swindler No Sang Chun and Lee Elijah transforms into Cheon Na Yeon, a news reporter.

As they cross paths, they are expected to trust one another to further reveal the hidden secrets and take down the culprits that lurk in the outskirts of South Korea.

Through "Bait," the three actors work together for the first time to deliver a solid story with unpredictable and shocking twists that will entice the viewers until the very end.

Coupang Play's "Bait" marks global actor Jang Geun Suk's first comeback to the small screen after five long years of hiatus.

In addition to that, the new drama is a year-starter work with its unique cast combination of actors who boast amazing acting prowess.

Heo Sung Tae dominated the year 2022 with his villainous roles in "Squid Game" and "Adamas," while Lee Elijah also proved her talents in "Delayed Justice" and "The Good Detective."

"Bait" is directed by "Voice" and "Money Heist Korea: Joint Economic Area" director Kim Hong Seon, promising a well-made crime thriller work.

'Bait' Premiere Date and Part 2

Jang Geun Suk's newest crime thriller series "Bait" guarantees domestic and international viewers a heart-thumping watching experience.

"Bait" will air for the first time on January 27 with two episodes each week. Part 1 will consist of a total of six episodes.

Meanwhile, Part 2 will be released some time in the first quarter of 2023. There's no exact date of release yet so stay tuned!
