Among them is "Nevertheless" star Chae Jong Hyeop.
On January 12, the actor has been courted to appear in the new series "Diva on Deserted Island" (working title). His agency, IOK Company, confirmed that it was one of the projects proposed to the star.
The drama is said to have a romantic comedy genre. "Diva on Deserted Island" is a new work to be penned by Park Hye Ryun, who will collaborate with "While You Were Sleeping" director Oh Choong Hwan to helm the series.

Meanwhile, one of 2022's successful K-drama stars Park Eun Bin, who rose to fame and received multiple awards through ENA's "Extraordinary Attorney Woo," is being courted to headline the series with Chae Jong Hyeop.
If the two actors confirm their participation, it will be their first-ever lead drama together and marks their reunion project following "Hot Stove League" in 2020.

Details such as the release of the broadcast and other cast members to appear are still in discussion. Attention is focused on whether Chae Jong Hyeop, who is currently appearing in ENA Channel's Wednesday-Thursday series "Unlock My Boss," will choose "Diva on Deserted Island" as his next screen project.

On the other hand, "The Witch's Diner" actor also has another drama to release this year. He is expected to share the frame with Kim So Hyun through the webtoon-based series "Is It a Coincidence?"
The production already started filming in the last quarter of 2022 with a plan of releasing the series in the first half of 2023.

"Is It a Coincidence?" follows the story of Lee Hong Ju, a single woman and works as an animation production PD. Due to trauma she had in her last relationship, she is afraid of falling in love again.
However, fate is playful to her as she accidentally reunites with her first love Kang Hu Young for the first time after almost a decade.
Chae Jong Hyeop will have back-to-back dramas this year and is expected to see him in various genres with unique character transformations.
