Honey Lee shares her thoughts about co-stars Park So Dam and Esom in her big-screen comeback "Phantom."

In addition, the former beauty queen turned actress also revealed her experience during pregnancy, being a mother, and now that she is back to work. 

"Phantom" is a historical suspense series that is set in 1933 during the Japanese colonization of Korea.

It focuses on the suspects who were locked up in an isolated hotel and under suspicion of being the mysterious "Ghost."

Joining Honey Lee as lead stars are Sol Kyung Gu, Park So Dam, Park Hae Soo, and Seo Hyun Woo, and is scheduled to premiere on January 18. 

Honey Lee on Working With Park So Dam

During the interview with a local media outlet, Honey Lee gets honest and shared that she felt pressure being the lead star of "Phantom."

Playing the role of Park Cha Gyung, she is responsible for the communication records and cryptograms for the Government-General. 

The actress also added that she had to maintain momentum and energy even in the scenes where she doesn't appear. 

"I was so grateful for the role of Park Cha Gyung," she said, adding "I met attractive works and characters. It seems that the work came to me like fate. I am so lucky to have come to me at the right time to be able to work and act."

Besides her role, one thing that Honey Lee talked about is her working relationship with Park So Dam. 

To recall, both the "Parasite" star and Honey Lee made headlines during the "Phantom" press conference after Park So Dam expressed her gratitude towards her co-star during her dark times. 

It was when the production of the movie ended that the actress found out about her health issues and was diagnosed with papillary thyroid cancer.

Honey Lee, on the other hand, described the 31-year-old co-star as someone who has a "strong personality."

"At the time of the shoot, she said, she didn't even know she was that sick. None of her colleagues knew either. She has that kind of remorse too. That's why she shed tears during her press conference on the day of the press conference," she recalled. 

The actress and new mom also pointed out how proud she is that Park So Da returned on-screen after successfully recovering from her surgery.

Honey Lee on Esom's Cameo in 'Phantom'

Another female actress who Honey Lee praised is Esom, who appeared in a bit role and played the role of Nan Young. 

The actress mentioned that she and Esom had a different "kind of camaraderie" on set. 

She also added that the actress was "good" at expressing the emotions of Nan Young. 

Honey Lee on Having Kids and Continuing Her Career as an Actress

Being a new mom, Honey Lee says "maternity is something many people do" and thinks that she "did well" during her journey. 

"It is great joy and happiness," the actress added, noting that it is now the time to "make a certain resolution as an actor."

As for her preparations, she said that aside from her baby her physical health is one of her priorities. 

In addition, she also makes sure to focus on her mental health by meditating.
