The Netflix series, penned by the renowned screenwriter Kim Eun Sook, instantly became a huge hit, entering the platform's daily top 10 global tv shows for weeks. 

With the Hallyu star's huge success, the media is curious to know how much Song Hye Kyo earned in "The Glory."

In a report cited by a media outlet, ​​Moonhwa Ilbo reporter Ahn Jin Yong released a YouTube video, discussing the highest-paid Korean stars in 2023. 

In a video, the reporter also mentioned the estimated earnings of these stars per episode. 

How Much Song Hye Kyo Earned in 'The Glory'? 

In a YouTube video, reporter Ahn Jin Yong says Song Joong Ki, Lee Jong Seok, and Ji Chang Wook have received more than 300 million KRW or 243,896 USD per episode for a K-drama. 

If the project is based on a 16-episode drama, then these three top stars around 4.8 billion KRW to 3.9 million USD to 5 billion KRW to 4 million USD per series.

Meanwhile, Lee Min Ho and Kim Soo Hyun are said to have received over 300 million KRW per episode.

To recall, Song Joong Ki recently starred in the novel-based JTBC series "Reborn Rich" while Ji Chang Wook's last K-drama appearance is the 16-part episode K-drama "If You Wish Upon Me."

In the YouTube video, the reporter also discussed the estimated pay that K-drama actresses received, like Song Hye Kyo and Jun Ji Hyun. 

According to the ​​Moonhwa Ilbo reporter, "actresses receive less than actors" saying that the two top stars "would command around 200 million KRW pr 162,595 USD per episode." 

As for the Hallyu queen's "The Glory" appearance, he estimated that Song Hye Kyo's salary per episode went more than the 200 million KRW mark; however, due to the popularity of the Netflix series, it is predicted that she will receive more in the coming projects, especially with the season 2 of the revenge drama.

From 70 million KRW to 80 million KRW or around 56,510 USD to 64,583 USD) per episode in "Goblin" writer Kim Eun Sook now earns over 100 million KRW or 80,728.17 USD per episode, as mentioned by a media outlet. 

'The Glory' Season 2: Release Date, and More

Netflix delivered a show-stopping K-drama right before 2023 started. 

Starring Song Hye Kyo, "The Glory" depicts the revenge of Moon Dong Eeun who fell victim to violence as a teen. 

Years later, she plots a cold-blooded revenge against the perpetrators.

​​Interestingly, the revenge series will return as "The Glory" season 2 is scheduled to hit Netflix on March 10. 

The streaming giant hints that the sequel will be more exciting and "won't be able to resist Part 2."
