In his recent interview, K-drama star Lee Jae Wook talked about his acting journey and plans for the future.

Lee Jae Wook began his career through the series "Memories of the Alhambra" in 2018 and "Search: WWW" in 2019. He solidified his presence by playing Baek Kyung in the webtoon-based drama "Extraordinary You."

He then recalls his memories while working on that project.

According to the celebrity, he still meets his former co-stars and now real-life friends sometimes. He confessed to being more comfortable with actors around his age.

As the conversation continues, Lee Jae Wook shared, "I want to try working on more youth dramas before joining the military."

He added that every time he comes to a school for a shoot, he feels nostalgic as he remembers those times when he was just starting his career. He feels warm recalling his past work.

Lee Jae Wook's Previous Works Praised

Lee Jae Wook's works in the infancy of his career received praises but for the actor, since he was new at that time, he was cast in a hurry and thought it was a kind of luck. The celebrity also mentioned that playing various characters is a good thing to improve his acting.

When he received his first lead role, the "Extraordinary You" star feel burdened the moment he got the script rather than when the drama was doing well.

Knowing that he would have to bring something new about himself as an actor, and immersing himself into the character are what matters more to him. He added that how the viewers perceive him as an actor is beyond his control.

Lee Jae Wook Shares He Wants 'To Do More Impactful Work'

Lee Jae Wook, who received lots of love from his recent work "Alchemy of Souls," shared that he still keeps in touch with the staff and actors he worked with. He revealed that his co-stars are still active in their group chat. He is thankful for the viewers who stayed with them until the end of the series.

Before the interview concluded, the actor said, "I want to do more impactful and intense work in the future. But if there will be another fantasy project like 'Alchemy of Souls,' I would like to try again."
