Joo Hyun Young became one of 2022's breakout stars after joining the cast of "Extraordinary Attorney Woo," headlined by Park Eun Bin, Kang Ki Young, and Kang Tae Oh. She took the role of Woo Young Woo's best friend and spiritual pillar Dong Geu Rami.

Although Young Woo seemed strange due to her autism spectrum disorder, Dong Geu Rami appeared even stranger in some ways, making the viewers love their friendship.

G-Dragon Was the Inspiration Behind the 'Woo Young Woo' Dance

At the height of the "Extraordinary Attorney Woo" craze, a dance challenge became a huge trend that featured Woo Young Woo and Dong Geu Rami's moves.

In the K-drama, it showcased a special greeting between two best friends as they introduced themselves by saying, "Woo to the Young to the Woo," and "Dong to the Geu to the Rami," while doing a circular hand motion, and ending it with a dab.

Interestingly, viewers found it funny and trendy that it quickly took over social media by storm.

Even top celebrities like BTS' Jimin and RM, SEVENTEEN's Hoshi and Mingyu, ASTRO's Cha Eun Woo, and even BIGBANG's G-Dragon hopped on the trend and uploaded videos of themselves doing the dance challenge.

During her appearance on Radio Star, Joo Hyun Young revealed that the inspiration behind it was the BIGBANG member.

"In the first script, it was written 'Woo Young Woo Young Woo, Dongdongrami.' "I changed it to a hip feeling because I thought it would be weird and embarrassing to do it," she said.

She opted to get inspiration from the intro of BIGBANG's "Last Farewell" with the lyrics that say "B to the I to the (G)-bang bang." The gestures are also similar to the "Extraordinary Attorney Woo" viral greeting.
