Recently, the actress greeted the public with her remarkable acting performance as a villain in Netflix's "The Glory" starring Song Hye Kyo, Lim Ji Yeon, Lee Do Hyun and more.

Shin Ye Eun Headlines New Period Drama 'Jeong Nyeon'

The year welcomes Shin Ye Eun's back-to-back projects as the rising star lands another high scale work!

Earlier this 2023, the young actress created huge buzz in the Hallyu scene with her performance as a villain in the box office series "The Glory."

On February 22, Shin Ye Eun surprised fans with another project! The artist's agency, Npio Entertainment, announced that the actress was cast in the drama "Jeong Nyeon" (literal title).

The work tells the story of a destitute woman who was gifted with a talent for singing. To get by life's challenges, she joined the Yeoseong Gukgeuk Troupe after the Korean War in the 1950s.

"Jeong Nyeon" is a work based on a period drama webtoon of the same name. Shin Ye Eun takes on the role of Heo Young Seo, a singer of Meeranguk Theater Company who has no friends.

Because of her tough personality and cold appearance, many people lose the courage to approach her. Unbeknownst to many, she has a warm heart and a huge passion for singing.

Meanwhile, Kim Tae Ri, who appeared in "Alien" and "Twenty Five, Twenty One" in 2022, plays the titular role of Jeong Nyeon, a poor young woman who dreams to succeed in life.

Attention is given as to what kind of chemistry the two will show despite their characters' opposing personalities.

In addition to that, Shin Ye Eun, who's currently making a name for herself, is expected to showcase a side of her that she hasn't shown before in her previous works.

"Jeong Nyeon" is said to begin its principal filming in the second half of 2023 with the intention to air it in the first quarter of the following year.

Shin Ye Eun Returns With New Mystery Romance Series

Following the success of "The Glory," Shin Ye Eun jumps onto her newest romance drama "Romantic Guest House"!

It focuses on the mysteries that took place inside the Guest Summer Palace, including the disappearance of young Lee Seol 13 years ago.

In the new SBS series, Shin Ye Eun leaves her creepy smile and rough personality behind, and transforms into Yoon Dan Oh, a fair and beautiful Joseon era empress.

Shin Ye Eun boasts her fairy-like visuals and bright smile in her new project, impressing the public with her 360 transformation.

SBS TV's upcoming work also stars Ryeoun, Kang Hoon and Jung Gun Joo, who all guarantee a cider-like drama that will bring healing as well as suspense to viewers every Monday and Tuesday.
