The drama marks her first ever romantic comedy series in a while. Originally, Jeon Do Yeon refused to star in it and here's why.

Jeon Do Yeon Admits Pressure Due To 'Crash Course in Romance'

Ahead of the finale of "Crash Course in Romance," Jeon Do Yeon talks about her character and her honest thoughts about the work!

Jeon Do Yeon, who has more than three decades of acting experience, reveals that she had no choice but to star in the work, leaving fans in confusion.

According to the actress, she originally wanted to drop the drama due to its lighthearted and comical themes. In the past years, Jeon Do Yeon has mainly acted in darker noir productions like "You Are My Sunshine," "Lost," "The Good Wife" and more.

Though she was drawn to "Crash Course in Romance," the actress confessed that she sensed a pressure when she received the script, causing her to decline the offer.

Jeon Do Yeon Reveals Reason On Choosing the Drama

In addition to that, the nickname "Queen of Cannes" also made it difficult for her to land projects with fun themes, especially since she has only done serious works for various film festivals.

"The honor I gained from Cannes was so great but it carries huge weight as an actress who has to do more work in her career," Jeon Do Yeon stated.

Jeon Do Yeon added that she looks forward to diversifying her acting spectrum through a variety of genres, which is why she chose to star in the highly rated series "Crash Course in Romance."

On the other hand, "Crash Course in Romance" starring Jeon Do Yeon and Jung Kyung Ho focuses on the romance story of a side dish restaurant owner and an educational instructor.

Catch the final four episodes of the series on weekends on tvN at 9:10 p.m. KST! It is also available on Netflix for international viewers!

Jeon Do Yeon To Play Serial Killer In Comeback Film

Following "Crash Course in Romance," Jeon Do Yeon returns to the big screen with a new exhilarating film!

In "Kill Bok Soon," Jeon Do Yeon transforms into Gil Bok Soon, a serial killer who is hired to kill without hesitation by revenge-seeking people.
