Lee Min Jae sat for an interview after the successful conclusion of tvN's hit series "Crash Course in Romance." The promising actor mentioned that he started realizing his increasing popularity after he starred in the drama.
In the series, Lee Min Jae was greatly loved for portraying Seo Geun Ho, a former ice hockey player who captivated hearts at Woolim High School.
When asked about his skyrocketing popularity, the young star expressed his joy, saying, "Honestly, I didn't know that the drama would go so well, and I didn't think that the character of Geun Ho would receive that much attention and love when the series went so well."

According to the "Love All Play" actor, there were only a few scenes of him and it was surprising that with that short period of his appearance, he didn't know he would get so much support from the public.

Lee Min Jae also shared that he received plenty of direct messages and comments on his Instagram. He could feel the sincerity of the fans toward him.
Due to the overwhelming support he received from the people, the actor is more determined to work hard in the future to repay fans' love.
"When I read the drama script, it started with 8,000 people, but it creased more than ten times. I was really shocked to see sudden growth in my following."
Currently, he has more than 160,000 followers and counting on his personal Instagram account.
In addition, he was surprised when one of his colleagues mentioned his drama while they were training at the gym. He felt good that people started to recognize his work. He, however, also feels scared that his acquaintances don't contact him directly.
Nevertheless, his family supports his newfound success.
Lee Min Jae jokingly commented, "I am trying to be more careful because I think my face also represents my family."
