Goo Hye Sun Reveals Being Remembered by Classmates as Geum Jan Di in ‘Boys Over Flowers’
Goo Hye Sun dishes on her experience going back to school and how her classmates remembered her from her "Boys Over Flowers" days.
The actress and filmmaker recently appeared in MBC's "Radio Star" where she spoke about life behind the camera and continuing her studies.
During her hiatus in the industry, she is honing her skills and decided to enter a university majoring in film and video.
In 2012, she returned as a student at Sungkyunkwan University where she is among the top students.
She also flaunted it on social media and seemed happy with her decision to go back to school.
In her previous Instagram post, she revealed that she received a scholarship but plans to donate it to her fellow classmate.
"To be honest, I got the first place in school," she said, adding "I am going to donate my scholarship to another student in need. It's called, 'studying to give away.'"

Interestingly, now that she is slowly making a name for herself in the world of filmmaking, she revealed her early years in college.
Her classmates, who are a lot younger than her, remembered her as the girl in "Boys Over Flowers."
She even mentioned that some of her classmates were in kindergarten or elementary when the hit series premiered in 2009.
One of the iconic K-dramas, "Boys Over Flowers" skyrocketed Goo Hye Sun's popularity along with Lee Min Ho, Kim Bum, Kim Hyun Joong, and Kim Joon.
Besides being an actress, Goo Hye Soon is also known for being active in school.
She revealed that she often sits at the front and asked various questions during classes.
However, her friends called her as a show-off, teasing her that she is very proactive at school.
"My college friends (because I asked a lot of questions) said, 'I didn't know you were such a show-off'," she recalled.
Apart from Goo Hye Sun, several South Korean stars graduated from the university. It includes Song Joong Ki majoring in business administration.

Cha Eun Woo is also a noted alumnus of Sungkyunkwan University under performing arts as well as Moon Ga Young who took up Korean Language and Literature.
Goo Hye Sun's Upcoming Projects
She might be on hiatus on-screen but Goo Hye Sun is thriving in the filmmaking department.
Her recent work as a director was the short film "Dark Yellow" which won an award at the International Short Film Festival, known to focus on Asian short films.
Interestingly, she decides to donate the cash prize from the film festival and plans to give back to her alma mater,
"I received the 'Audience Award' prize at the 24th International Short Shorts Film Festival," she wrote, adding that she wanted to help deserving students who want to continue their education.
"When I heard the news that there were students who couldn't get their education due to the economic hardship, I donated to my alma mater, Sungkyunkwan University's 'Senior Love Learning Support Fund, Senior Shoots Campaign," she wrote on her Instagram.
