Han Seok Kyu Returns as Dolham Hospital’s Teacher Kim in New ‘Dr Romantic 3’ Poster

SBS continues to tease viewers with a new official poster, featuring Han Seok Kyu's iconic character in "Dr. Romantic 3."

Finally, the long wait is over as fans will see the Doldam Hospital staff for the third time around. After announcing the release date, the broadcast network unveils a new teaser, showing the one and only Teacher Kim!

'Dr. Romantic 3 Poster Showcases Han Seok Kyu's Role as Teacher Kim

SBS unveils the second teaser poster of "Dr. Romantic 3," focusing on Han Seok Kyu's character as Teacher Kim Exuding a nostalgic theme, the legendary doctor smiles brightly as he sits at his office at Doldam Hospital, donned in his white uniform.

The caption reads:

"Hoping that [we] can be of comfort once again to those who have lost their way."

Silently fulfilling his duty to save patients unconditionally, viewers will get to see Teacher Kim, along with the people of Doldam Hospital, showcase heartwarming scenes per episode.

During the script reading, Han Seok Kyu expressed his thoughts about the upcoming sequel. Returning for the third time as the legendary Teacher Kim, he spoke about how grateful he is for continuing to play the titular role. He said:

"I want to enjoyably create Season 3 together with everyone again. Thank you for creating a stage for Season 3."

On the other hand, the production team hints that the viewers will "see the deeper chemistry between director Yoo In Shik, writer Kang Eun Kyung" together with the cast members.

Moreover, the production team also lauded the hard work and the "exceptional teamwork" while filming the third season.

'Dr. Romantic 3' Cast, Release Date

First aired in 2016, the medical K-drama depicts the story of a once famous surgeon, Dr. Boo Yong Joo, played by Han Seok Kyu, who is at the peak of his career at the city's major hospital.

However, he found himself in the middle of a controversy that tainted his name. Due to this, he chose to work in the shabby hospital in the countryside and live with a new identity. At Doldam Hospital, he met the warmest and kindhearted people, whose top priority are the patients.

In addition, he became a mentor to young doctors, who didn't only learn about their careers but also about life.

After two successful seasons, "Dr. Romantic" is back with a new and returning cast.

Joining Han Seok Kyu as lead stars are Lee Sung Kyung and Ahn Hyo Seop as cardiothoracic surgeon Cha Eun Jae, and General Surgeon Seo Woo. 

Adding to the list of "Dr. Romantic 3" cast includes Jin Kyung, Im Won Hee, Byun Woo Min, Kim Joo Heon, Yoon Na Moo, Shin Dong Wook, Go Sang Ho, So Ju Yeon, Bora, Jung Ji Ahn, and more.

As for the new cast, Lee Shin Young and Lee Hong Nae will play as newbie doctors at Doldam.

The "Dr. Romantic 3" release date is set for this April after "Taxi Driver 2" concludes.
