tvN Unveils Jang Hyuk's Shocking Transformation for New Series ‘Family’

Jang Hyuk is back with an exciting K-drama "Family," along with Jang Nara, as they portray husband and wife in the upcoming comedy-action series.

The 46-year-old star teased fans with a different visual as tvN released still cuts for the upcoming K-drama.

Jang Hyuk Transforms Into Secret Agent in 'Family'

Ahead of the much-awaited premiere, Jang Hyuk surprised viewers with his shocking new appearance as he headline the espionage-comedy series "Family."

Similar to the iconic painting "Mona Lisa" by Leonardo da Vinci, the South Korean star gained attention with his no-eyebrow look.

Over the comments section, fans couldn't help but get curious about his new look.

Interestingly, the other still cuts features Jang Hyuk looking happy as he spends time with his daughter and wife.

In the upcoming K-drama "Family," he takes on the role of Kwon Do Hoon, a black agent at the National Intelligence Service (NIS) who is on a secret mission. He disguises himself as a trading company employee but is completely different at home.

Kwon Do Hoon is married to Kang Yu Ra, played by Jang Nara. She is a loving and devoted wife and mother, who dreams of having a perfect family.

The drama will showcase Yu Ra's secret behind her picture-perfect attitude.

'Family' Cast, Release Date, & What to Expect

Helmed by Jang Jung Do, of "What's Wrong With Secretary Kim," "The Crowned Clown," "Our Blues," and the hit romance fantasy series "Alchemy of Souls," "Family" is a reunion project between Jang Nara and Jang Hyuk.

The upcoming action-comedy series depicts the journey of NIS agent by day and a dedicated husband at home.

Joining the duo as the cast of "Family" are Chae Jung An, Kim Nam Hee, veteran actor Lee Soon Jae, and more.

Meanwhile, the director Jang Jung Do express hi gratitude to the whole team of "Family," from the lead stars, supporting actors, production team Kim Kang Min, and more. He pointed out how "thankful" he is for having "such good actors" and promise to "create a set where we can always meet while smiling."

Set to be released on April 17 at 8:50 p.m. KST, the upcoming series "Family" is available through tvN.

Viewers could expect another round of entertaining and captivating scenes between Jang Nara and Jang Hyuk since this will be their first collaboration in nine years.

To recall, the two top stars have worked together on three projects. First is the 2002 series "Success Story of a Bright Girl," followed by the iconic rom-com "Fated to Love You" in 2014, and the 2014 MBC Drama Festival "Old Goodbye."
