Netflix Korea Prefers to Cast Newbies Than Famous Celebrities

With all these upcoming shows, it is observed that most of the cast members are non-celebrities.

According to Netflix, they prefer casting newcomers. Though it has advantages and disadvantages, having an ordinary cast in the show gives more benefits and increases excitement among the viewers.

In January this year, they faced headaches with the controversy surrounding non-celebrity cast members in "Single's Inferno" and "Physical 100."

PD Jeong explained, "It is easier to ask for proof of documentation from non-celebrities than from celebrities who are harder to demand such things from."

She also pointed out that non-celebrities have a wide range of behavior, which they think is more attractive to the audience. It is also easier to handle controversies with newbies.

Meanwhile, all the entertainment programs mentioned will be released anytime soon this 2023.
