Ceremony season is here as the 59th Baeksang Arts Awards has unveiled the list of nominees for film and TV categories. 

Over its official social media accounts, the association released the official candidates who will be competing in various divisions. 

The Baeksang Arts Awards 2023 nominees are the K-dramas, movies, and tv shows released between April 1, 2022, and March 31, 2023.

Ahead of the announcement, around 60 industry experts reviewed a slew of content to see who is worthy of the recognition. 

While viewers expressed mixed reactions since the upcoming ceremony showcase nomination snubs like Song Joong Ki in "Reborn Rich" and Kim Go Eun as Best Actress for her role in "Little Women," there are tv shows and films that scored not just one but multiple nods at the 59th Baeksang Arts Awards. 

'My Liberation Notes'

Released in April 2022, the JTBC melodrama "My Liberation Notes" concluded the series with so much hype on the internet. 

Interestingly, even Hallyu star Gong Yoo showed his support for the K-drama after posting a series of the drama's posters on his Instagram. 

In addition, viewers lauded the chemistry of Kim Ji Won and Son Seok Kyu, even calling the duo as the "worship couple."

As for the Baeksang Arts Awards 2023, "My Liberation Notes" received 7 nominations and mostly major categories. 

It includes Best Director, Best Drama, Best Screenplay, Best Actor for Son Seok Koo, Best Actress for Kim Ji Won, Best New Actress for Lee Kyung Sung, and Best Supporting Actress for Lee El. 

'Decision to Leave'

For the movie category, "Decision to Leave" also garnered 7 nominations for the 59th Baeksang Arts Awards 2023. 

Besides winning international recognitions such as Best Director at Cannes Film Festival 2022, the romance drama movie also earned a nod at the upcoming ceremony known as the Oscars in Korea.

"Decision to Leave" is nominated for Best Film, Best Director, Best Screenplay, Best Actor for Park Hae Il, Best Actress for Tang Wei, Technical Award (Cho Young Wook), and Technical Award (Ryu Seung Hee). 

'Hunt'

Lee Jung Jae's directorial debut also scored multiple awards this year. 

The espionage drama film was nominated for Best Film, Best Director, Best New Director, Best Screenplay, Best Actor for Jung Woo Sung, Best New Actress for Go Yoon Jung, and Technical Award making it a total of 7 nominations. 

'Anna' 

Another K-drama that bagged multiple nods at the 59th Baeksang Arts Awards is the thriller drama series "Anna."

Bae Suzy, who played the dual role of Lee Anna and Lee Yoo Mi was nominated for Best Actress. 

Lee Joo Young, who also helmed the 2017 movie "A Single Rider" entered the Best Director category. 

Kim Jun Han was nominated for Best Supporting Actor while Jung Eun Chae was included in the Best Supporting Actress list.
