‘Physical: 100’ Star Choo Sung Hoon Mourns Death of Loved One

The legendary MMA fighter and reality star took to social media as he mourned the passing of his father, whom he called his "superhero."
In a lengthy and heartfelt post, the athlete recalled the times he spent with his father.

Over Choo Sung Hoon's Instagram, the 47-year-old athlete shared the amazing qualities of his father, whom he described as "kind, strong, powerful," and someone who "knows everything."
The MMA athlete also recalled his father being a disciplinarian and would beat him if he did something bad.
"When I was a child, I was more afraid of my father finding out than going to the police for doing something bad, so I was often beaten to death for doing something bad," he said. Despite this, Choo Sung Hoon "never once" hated his father for doing these.
As his heartbreaking post continues, he confirmed that his father passed away and expressed regret, saying, "There are still too many things I want to talk about and things I need to learn."
The athlete-reality star also shared his plan for his father. Unfortunately, it's too late for him.
"There are too many things I want to do together. Recently, I wanted to work well, earn money, take him to various places, and feed him lots of delicious food."
Moreover, Choo Sung Hoon also mentioned a lesson that his father taught him, which is to "choose the hard way" because it is the "shortcut to success."
The "Physical: 100" star concluded his message by saying goodbye to his father and promising to "live the time" in his life with his father's lesson in his heart.

According to a report, the MMA fighter immediately flew to Japan upon hearing the sad news about his father.

Who is Choo Sung Hoon of 'Physical: 100'
One of the fan-favorites of the show, Choo Sung Hoon is a Japanese-Korean mixed martial artist, whose real name is Yoshihiro Akiyama. He bagged a gold medal at the 2001 Asian Championships for South Korea and won at the 2002 Asian Games for Japan.
Also known by his moniker Sexyama, the 47-year-old athlete revealed why he joined the Netflix survival show.
Choo Sung Hoon mentioned that he wanted to show the public that a middle-aged guy like him still has what it takes to win "Physical: 100."
