Jeon Do Yeon’s ‘Kill Bok Soon’ To Have Sequel? Here’s What We Know

Netflix Confirms 'Kill Bok Soon' Sequel
On April 23, a media outlet released exciting news. Netflix has released its first quarter financial report, in which the famous online streaming giant successfully launched new titles across various genres, including "Night Agent," "Rana Naidu," and the film "Kill Bok Soon."
Clarifying the written report, Netflix added that the sequel for "Kill Bok Soon" has been decided. This is the first time that Netflix has directly mentioned the production of a sequel to "Kill Bok Soon."
The action movie features the journey of Gil Bok Soon (Jeon Do Yeon), a legendary assassin in the contracting murder industry, who is about to end her work with the company. However, it got postponed as she got embroiled in an inevitable confrontation.
The Korean movie is helmed by Byung Sung Hyun. Meanwhile, brilliant actors Jeon Do Yeon, Seol Kyung Gu, Kim Si Ah, Esom, and Koo Yeon Ho made amazing performances.
Will Jeon Do Yeon Reprise Her Role in 'Kill Bok Soon' Sequel?
However, even though the production for the "Kill Bok Soon" sequel is confirmed, it remains unknown whether Byung Sung Hyun will still direct the movie and if Jeon Do Yeon will be cast again to headline the second season.
To recall, Byung Sung Hyun mentioned in his interview that he was already thinking of having a spin-off of the film but shared his idea of not directing it anymore.

Lead actress Jeon Do Yeon also shared that she has no intention of appearing in the sequel if it will happen soon. However, she left open the possibility that she would have to reconsider the conditions if she received the offer.
'Kill Bok Soon' Successful Debut on Netflix
After its world premiere last March 31, Jeon Do Yeon's action movie immediately caught the viewers' attention making it one of the most popular shows on Netflix. In fact, "Kill Bok Soon" ranked first on Netflix Global Top 10 Movies Non-English Category three days after it was released. It also surpassed over 18 million hours of viewing time in less than a week since its debut.
Apart from it, Jeon Do Yeon was praised for her legendary performance in Netflix's action movie.
