A university professor claimed that Song Hye Kyo's donation in the Netherlands was "not true."

After the success of her revenge K-drama "The Glory" season 2, the Hallyu star once again made headlines after an online post claimed that the South Korean beauty participated in the expansion of the Yi Jun Peace Museum.

Song Hye Kyo Lauded for Generous Donation

One of the tourist attractions in the Hague, Netherlands, the landmark is owned by a Korean couple, who restored the property back to its original state, in collaboration with the Korean government, the municipality of The Hague, and the embassy.

Interestingly, the online post, titled "A Netherlands Building Bought With Song Hye Kyo's Money," claimed that the actress quietly sponsored the expansion of the museum after the couple "couldn't acquire the first floor due to a lack of money."

As the posts circulated in online communities, netizens praised the actress for her good deeds and activities relating to historical issues. Her action with the Yi Jun Peace Museum is not her first time participating in historical activities.

In March of 2022, Song Hye Kyo reportedly collaborated with University Professor Seo Kyung Duk as they introduced a multilingual video, titled "The Provisional Government's Mistress Jung Jeong Hwa."

In addition, she is also involved in various activities, including volunteer activities at dog centers.

Known as a South Korean nationalist scholar and social activist, Professor Seo Kyung Duk is vocal about promoting Korean cultural heritage overseas.

Meanwhile, Song Hye Kyo is among the Hallyu stars active in various movements and participate in different organizations. She is also using her platform to promote Korean culture on a global scale.
