Kim So Yeon took to social media to explain the reason behind the remark about her marriage that sparked controversy.
The actress appeared as a guest on tvN's "Yoo Quiz on the Block," where she spoke about her K-drama comeback and marriage with Lee Sang Wo.
After the broadcast, netizens seemed disappointed in how the actor treats his wife, accusing him of gaslighting Kim So Yeon.

In an Instagram Story uploaded on May 7, the actress spoke about her husband and defended him from the accusation about gaslighting and being in a unhappy relationship.
Kim So Yeon said, "Lee Sang Woo thinks about my health and takes care of me more than anyone else." The actress hinted that fans need not to worry about her marriage.

Moreover, she explained that it was for their health and to improve their immunity.
"We agreed to do it in early November. As a fun challenge, we started doing that on November 2nd, my birthday!" she said, as obtained by a media outlet.
Concluding her post, "The Penthouse" star said she "couldn't express" her idea well but assured fans that it's one of her "good memories" from her birthday.
Kim So Yeon Says Husband Lee Sang Woo Wouldn't Turn on the Heater
To recall, what started the issue was when the award-winning actress shared the story about their heater.
In a "Yoo Quiz on the Block" episode released on May 3, Kim So Yeon revealed that her husband would not turn on the heater, believing that it would help her "not to feel sad" by the cold weather.
Moreover, the actress said that "the indoor temperature had to be maintained at an appropriate temperature."
The actress also shared an instance when the weather got too cold and she wanted to turn it on from the end of September to October, but Lee Sang Woo did not allow her and said that she would only turn on the heater on her birthday, which is November 2.
"On my birthday last year, two of us counted to three and pressed the heater switch together," she said.
Kim So Yeon explained that as a person gets older, "birthdays actually don't mean much," but now sees them in a different light. She added, "I thought, 'Oh, there's a good thing on my birthday,'" referring to the heater story.
Due to this, netizens thought that Lee Sang Woo is not considering his wife's well-being and find it a bit strange. Others also thought that the celebrity couple had an "unhealthy relationship" despite being married for a long time.
Kim So Yeon met Lee Sang Woo on the set of the weekend K-drama "Happy Home" and got married in June 2017. She previously revealed in an interview that marrying her husband was a" turning point" in her life.
