Jo Ah Ram Flaunts Top-Notch Acting In 'Doctor Cha'

This year, idol-turned-actress Jo Ah Ram is making a mark in the Hallyu industry!

Born in 2000, Jo Ah Ram plays the role of a third year resident doctor in the smash hit rom-com drama "Doctor Cha" which is led by Uhm Jung Hwa.

Jo Ah Ram is also the secret girlfriend of Song Ji Ho's Seo Jung Min, the obedient and loving son of Uhm Jung Hwa's character. Unlike her boyfriend, she's quite uptight and bossy.

The 23-year-old star is creating a huge buzz for her immersive and natural-looking performance, which receives attention and love from the viewers and critics alike.

In particular, her fresh and girl crush visuals don't go unnoticed as many viewers fall for her charms. Avid viewers of "Doctor Cha" are quite surprised with the rookie's performance. One fan stated that Jo Ah Ram is going to make it big as an actress.

Jo Ah Ram's Transition From The Idol Stage To Television

Before she ventured into acting, Jo Ah Ram was an active member of Gugudan in the past under the stage name Hyeyeon.

She's one of the actresses in the group alongside her older members Kim Sejeong and Kang Mina who boasted their acting skills in "Business Proposal" and "Hotel del Luna," respectively.

In 2017, Jo Ah Ram worked with Kang Mina in the sub-unit called OGUOGU-a cute nickname for the two artists who were the youngest members of Gugudan.

Unfortunately, the "Doctor Cha" star withdrew from the group in 2018 due to health problems. She then changed her stage name to her real name Jo Ah Ram as she entered the television scene.

In 2022, she impressed the viewers with her participation in Seolhyun and Lee Kwang Soo's murder comedy series "The Killer's Shopping List."

Earlier this year, Jo Ah Ram was selected to headline the first cheerleading film "Victory," which will also mark her silver screen debut, and it's expected to hit the theaters in early 2024.
