In addition, fans were also delighted to see the on-screen chemistry between co-stars Lee Kyu Hyung, Jung Hae In, and more as they portray detainees in the comedy-life series.

Released in 2017, "Prison Playbook" garnered a positive response from viewers as the story depicted the unexpected experience of the superstar baseball pitcher, Kim Je Hyuk, after he got convicted and met unfamiliar faces.

Who would forget Je Hyuk's interaction with his cellmates and the challenges they faced while inside the prison? In case you missed the chemistry between Kim Je Hyuk and his cellmates, here are the current and upcoming projects of the "Prison Playbook" cast.

Park Hae Soo as Kim Je Hyuk

While "Prison Playbook" is his breakthrough project, Park Hae Soo gained international fame after joining "Squid Game" as the villain.

After the Netflix series, he headlined the thriller mystery K-drama "Chimera" and took on the role of Berlin in "Money Heist: Korea."

It was followed by another Netflix series, "Narco-Saints," where he played the role of a South Korean detective.

From K-drama to the big screen, he will play the lead role in Netflix's disaster movie "Great Flood" with Kim Da Mi.

Jung Kyung Ho as Police Officer Lee Joon Ho

The versatile star played Kim Je Hyuk's childhood friend turned avid fan Lee Joon Ho, who worked as a police officer in "Pr ison Playbook."

Jung Kyung Ho is also best known as the grumpy doctor Kim Jun Hwan in "Hospital Playlist" seasons 1 and 2.

Interestingly, he recently made a comeback and starred in the hit K-drama "Crash Course in Romance" with Jeon Do Yeon and was even nominated for the Baeksang Arts Awards 2023 Best Actor.

Lee Kyu Hyung as Yoo Han Yang

One of the unforgettable characters in "Prison Playbook" is none other than Yoo Han Yang, a.k.a. Loony, played by Lee Kyu Hyung.

From playing a convict in "Prison Playbook," he transformed into the "best ahjussi" in "All of Us Are Dead," portraying police officer Song Jae Ik.

On the other hand, Lee Kyu Hyung will headline an interesting project, "Uncle Samsik," joining award winning star Song Kang Ho in his first ever K-drama project.

Jung Hae In as Captain Yoo

Like Je Hyuk, another influential person who joined their cell is Captain Yoo, played by Jung Hae In.

After his back-to-back projects in 2021, the South Korean actor continues to dominate the small screen with the hit series "Connect."

Interestingly, he will reprise his role as Private Ahn in "D.P. 2" with Goo Kyo Hwan.

Choi Moo Sung as Kim Min Cheol

Once a famous gang leader, Kim Min Cheol is among the longest prisoners after being detained for 25 years. The character is played by Choi Moo Sung, who is also the lead star of "Stranger Season 2."

He is currently appearing in Lee Do Hyun and Ra Mi Ran's K-drama "​​The Good Bad Mother."
