‘Dr Romantic 3’ Episode 8: Will Ahn Hyo Seop Survive Another Danger at Doldam?
"Dr. Romantic 3" episode 8, showcased surprising twists as Doldam Hospital faced another crisis.
Headlined by Han Suk Kyu, Ahn Hyo Seop, and Lee Sung Kyung, the medical K-drama depicts the story of a legendary surgeon, Kim Sa Bu, whose lifelong dream is to build a trauma center to cater to more patients.
However, as he pushes for the official launch of the establishment, he and his team at Doldam Hospital encounter more drama and, at the same time, heartfelt stories for the third season.
'Dr. Romantic 3' Episode 8 Viewership
After hitting an all time high, the SBS K-drama experienced a slight dip in viewership.
In a report, Nielsen Korea recorded an average nationwide rating of 12.9 percent for "Dr. Romantic 3" episode 8. It is a minimal decrease from its previous high of 13.8 percent, which is the show's highest for the season run.
Viewers will get to watch another episode of the medical K-drama as "Dr. Romantic 3" episode 9 release date is set for May 26 via SBS and Disney+.
'Dr. Romantic 3' Episode 8 Recap
The eighth episode not only featured the intense plot between the patients and the staff but also the heartwarming stories of the doctors at Doldam.
The episode began with Nurse Park Eun Tak getting reunited with a group of gang members whom he used to know before entering Doldam.
However, he was threatened by the group with ruining his reputation if he didn't get the drugs that he asked for.
At this point, Eun Tak was torn about whether he'd do what was right or protect his image.
On the other hand, Cha Eun Jae and Kim Sa Bu managed to save the patient from cardiac arrest.
Kim Sa Bu didn't blame Cha Eun Jae, but she advised her to always trust her instincts.
After the surgery, she bumped into her dad, Dr. Cha Jin Man, but didn't feel comfortable telling him how the operation went.

It was Dr. Nam who told Dr. Cha how Eun Jae responded to the surgery. This made Dr. Cha realize that it was he who recommended that she not do the procedure.
Interestingly, one of the highlights of "Dr. Romantic 3 episode 8, was the attack on the refugee whom Seo Woo Jin helped.
The news flashed the photo of the refugee on the loose, which was recognized by the staff at Doldam. At this point, the staff and patients at the Trauma Center and Doldam needed to evacuate the vicinity since the refugee was armed.
On the other hand, Seo Woo Jin looked for Jang Dong Hwa, whom he instructed to look after the patient. Dr. Jang tried to protect the patient, but the refugee pointed a gun at them.
Thankfully, they were saved by Seo Woo Jin, but he ended up being the hostage. Then, a group of military soldiers came just in time to save him. He realized how thankful he was for Kim Sa Bu for saving him from himself, because if not, he would end up just like the refugee.
In the latter part of the episode, Kim Sa Bu and Dr. Cha Jin Min received a complaint filed by the Assemblywoman, whose son died at the trauma center.
