‘Dr Romantic 3’ Cast: Meet the New Doctors of Doldam Hospital
As expected, "Dr. Romantic 3," which stars Lee Sung Kyung, Ahn Hyo Seop, and Han Suk Kyu, delivered scenes that kept viewers hooked in every episode.
From the pilot episode hitting double-digit ratings, the medical K-drama did not disappoint fans as it showcased remarkable moments, and a spectacular cast lineup.
From returning cast members like Lee Sung Kyung, Ahn Hyo Seop, and Han Suk Kyu to supporting actors like Kim Min Jae, Kim Joo Heon, Jin Kyung, and more, the SBS weekend K-drama also featured new cast members who joined Doldam Hospital.
Lee Shin Young as Jang Dong Hwa
Rising star Lee Shin Young took on the role of Jang Dong Hwa, who is in his residency and under the supervision of Seo Woo Jin, played by Ahn Hyo Seop.
The first part of the medical K-drama depicted the rookie doctor as Seo Woo Jin's nightmare, who is hooked on playing online games.
In one of the episodes, the show featured a tense confrontation between Jang Dong Hwa and his senior after he questioned his decision-making, and after that, he and Kim Sa Bu, played by Han Suk Kyu, also had a heated argument.
It's too early to tell if Dr. Jang's character will be one of the season's antagonists, but it seemed like he knew when and how to apologize to his senior colleagues.
Lee Hong Nae as Lee Seon Wung
He appeared in episode 1 as military doctor Lee Seon Wung. Unlike Dong Hwa, he is very dedicated to his work and shows sincerity toward the patients.
This is also the reason why the legendary doctor, Kim Sa Bu, personally hired him to be one of the new breed of doctors at Doldam.

Lee Seon Wung will be working alongside cardiothoracic surgeon Dr. Cha Eun Jae, played by Lee Sung Kyung.
With Lee Hong Nae's appearance, it seemed like his character would have a pivotal role in Cha Eun Jae and Seo Woo Jin's connection.

A new season means a new villain for "Dr. Romantic 3" through the veteran actor Lee Kyung Young, who plays renowed surgeon and professor Cha Jin Min.
Besides being Kim Sa Bu's former colleague, he is also Cha Eun Jae's father, which made things more complicated, especially for Seo Woo Jin.
In the previous episode, he became the leader of Doldam's Trauma Center, replacing Kim Sa Bu.
However, it hints that Teacher Kim has bigger plans for the soon-to-open center, which is also his passion project.
Viewers might also witness an intense face-off between two great doctors, especially now that Dr. Cha is gearing up for the opening of the trauma center.
