Cha Eun Woo To Possibly Headline 'Wonderful World'

As a result of exclusive coverage by a media outlet on May 26, it was announced that Cha Eun Woo is being courted to join the cast of the upcoming drama "Wonderful World."

On the same day, his agency Fantagio clarified that the actor received a casting offer to participate in the series, and Cha Eun Woo is positively reviewing it.

The suspense-revenge drama "Wonderful World" revolves around a female protagonist, who unfairly lost her son. She decides to take revenge against the perpetrator who has been forgiven by the law.

If Cha Eun Woo accepts the project, he will play the role of Kwon Won Yul, a medical school student who dreams of treating sick children. He is mysterious and will build a delicate relationship with the female lead after being involved in an accident.

As of this writing, veteran actress Kim Nam Joo is considering headlining the series and Kim Kang Woo as her husband.

In addition, "Tracer" and "Voice 2" director Lee Seung Young is in charge of helming the whole production.

Other details about "Wonderful World" are yet to be announced.

What's Next For Cha Eun Woo This 2023

Meanwhile, the idol-actor is busy working on his other solo projects.

Following his action-adventure drama "Island," he is set to make his small screen return through the webtoon-based series "A Good Day to Be A Dog."

He will reunite with "It's Okay to Not Be Okay" actress Park Gyu Young in this project and will act, alongside "Money Heist" actor Lee Hyun Woo. The production is also in the middle of filming the drama and is tentatively for release in the second half of 2023.

In March, the ASTRO member who was supposed to join Ha Yoon Kyung and Jo Woo Jin in the crime series "Bulk," decided to withdraw from the project.

The company handling the drama confirmed the news that Cha Eun Woo will no longer be part of the cast, but they will proceed in filming the series.

Furthermore, outside the drama industry, Cha Eun Woo delivered another good news, as he is the newly appointed ambassador for the "Visit Korea Year" promotion for 2023-2024.

The actor is expected to engage in promotional activities to introduce Korean tourism to the world and enhance global awareness of Korean culture.
