For three seasons, the veteran actor has been capturing the hearts of viewers with his role as the legendary Kim Sa Bu. Apart from it, fans are drawn to the heartwarming stories of patients and staff at Doldam Hospital.

Interestingly, besides the SBS medical K-drama, the award-winning actor has a slew of notable series under his name.

Get to know more about Han Suk Kyu's works with these popular K-dramas!

'Watcher'

Released in 2019, and directed by Ahn Gil Ho of "The Glory," Han Suk Kyu took on the role of senior detective Do Chi Kwang, becoming a member of an internal affairs investigation team along with a former prosecutor, Han Tae Joo, played by Kim Hyun Joo, and rookie police officer Kim Young Koon, portrayed by Seo Kang Joon.

Their mission is to uncover the truth behind the corruption and injustice of the high ranking officials in the police agency.

Little did they know that their past is connected because of one tragic incident.

Joining as one of the cast members of "Watcher" is "Squid Game" villain Heo Sung Tae as crime squad leader Jang Hae Ryong.

'Recipe for Farewell'

In addition to being a senior detective and legendary surgeon, Han Suk Kyu also portrayed the role of the 40-year-old translator and humanities instructor, Chang Wook in the life drama "Recipe for Farewell."

Due to this, she is having a hard time performing her duties as a housewife, like preparing the meal and cleaning the house.

Interestingly, Chang Wook took on this role as he takes care of his wife, despite the fact that the only thing he knows how to make is ramen.

'Secret Door'

Besides the SBS medical series, another notable K-drama by Han Suk Kyu is the 2014 K-drama "Secret Door."

Starring Lee Je Hoon, Park Eun Bin, Kim Yoo Jung, Yoon So Hee, and more, the historical K-drama depicts the story of a conflict between the current king and his heir.

Han Suk Kyu plays King Yeong Jo, who strives for strong royal authority, while his son, Crown Prince Sa Do, portrayed by Lee Je Hoon, has a different belief. He pushes for equality for all, despite their status.

"Secret Door" is directed by Shin Kyung Soo of "The Nokdu Flower" and "Joseon Exorcist" and Kim Hyung Shik, the director behind "Twenty Again" and "Under the Queen's Umbrella."
